Jet Pumps / I'm hearing what I think is my thrust bearing going out. need advice.

Last two times out I'm hearing what I think is my thrust bearing going out. how can I know for sure?? If so
I'm looking to either rebuild jet,replace bearing myself. or have someone do it along with installing a place diverter on a JF Pump.
