Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Plumbing Questions
« on: October 30, 2009, 05:59:07 PM »
I am about the re-plum my boat.  I have some questions regarding hose sizes.  First off i have very mild built BBC.

1.  Hose that comes from the pump to the engine............-8, -10, etc.
2.  Hose from the water oultet to the water dump on the transon........-8, -10, etc.
3.  from the Basset T-Valve to the headers.........-6, -8, etc.

I have all of the water regulator valves (2 of them).....one on the hose to transom and one on the hose going to the Basset T-Valve.

Any input would be appreciated and if you are running a mild BBC, what sizes are you running?

I know that this varies from boat to boat........just trying to get an idea before i buy and the stuff.

THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks

The No Wake Zone / B-DAY PARTY IN COLD ASS GA
« on: October 22, 2009, 02:21:55 PM »
Well there are no bikinis in these pics because it is already in the 30's at night here in Georgia.  A few pics from a party i had for a neighbor of mine that has been battling cancer for the past 3 years.  they gave him 6 months to live 3 years ago and still trucking.  So i threw him a huge B-Day party (about 100 folks), live jazz band, 3 caiges, etc. etc.  Was a good time.  Wish i could post pics with bikinis but that will have to wait until next summer.

Want to thank my man Tom @ JBP for the carb 750 QFT.   Just mocked up thus far.  Hey Tom, i know you said it was built for my engine, so how much tuning do you think i will need to do.  My dumbass also broke a bolt off in the intake when removing my old card.....any suggestions?  I assume just drill it out and tap it?  Also got some new livorsi gauges

i am about to purchase a new card.  I currently have a 750 edelbrock. ???  since buying it about 2 years ago i have had NO issues what-so-ever with it.,,,it just looks like shit now.  I am thinking about a QuickFuel or ProForm.   My engine is a very mildly built 454 and very reliable.  Should i stick to Edelbrock (endurashine) or change?  I have heard that the 2 that i am looking take more "tuning"....or maybe intial tuning?  Any thoughts would be appreciated.

THANKS

I think i am going to buy them......i want my shit as loud as humanly possible.   Out east we have NO noise restrictions.   I want to PISS people off when i am around.   My engine is a very mild built 454 and current dhave bassett twisties.  Would i notice a performance downgrade with the Borla's?
