Thanx for the remarks guys. This guy has the same scoop from gofastfiberglass  on eBay. Not sure if he is the same person who made it though. The email to contact the maker is gofastfiberglass@comcast.net . He has many many different styles and original molds.this maker is the best!! It is super heavy duty and the fit and finish is great. It was ready to paint right out of the box.He is back east and makes them when he gets time and he is busy making scoops for some really high end projects so don't be in a hurry to get it. If you want a scoop that nobody else has he is the guy to go to.

What is an max acceptable amount of fore and aft movement ( wobble) for the flexplate when the engine is running. Zero runout is obviously the best. I put two flexplates in and both have about .040 to .050 I ran the engine last year and didn't have any problems. The rev limiter has a 7k chip. I am wondering if this is common with factory plates. And if so is there an rpm where they start to cause problems with harmonics and eventually come apart

I will do some checkin on the bottom,but it probably hasn't been done the more I look at it.For the stringers I used the kiln dried clear fir.1 1/4 by 5 1/12. and rounded the tops. for resin I went with marine laminating resin,the budget wouldn't allow the big money stuff.the fiberglass is the weaved with the stitching not sure of the official name.2 layers on each side and one over the top.sanded smooth before each additional layer.now I need to get some liquid paraffin wax to add to another top coat so it will dry all the way from what I have read..

Heres my tub,I pulled the carpet to take a look and well you all know how this story ends.So I decided to replace the stringers and make the full length.It too 10 times longer due to never mixing a bucket of resin or hardly any woodworking before but it will be a bit more solid.I moved the bulkhead in fron of the engine forward for a little more room ,and kept a floor in it.So at least there is a couple square feet of flat surface to attempt standing on.

Ok thanx, I am only home till thursday then back to the grind in alaska. So I have limited  time for phone service and email is the only reason Im rushing.
