That's kind of what I was thinking I was going to have to do, it's in a 19 ft hornet with a stock Berkeley E pump, ride plate and a manual place diverter.

I'll give you the run down of what I'm running, it's .030 over 454 4 bolt block, closed chambered 291 rectangle port 107 cc heads, the pistons are Keith black flat tops with single intake valve reliefs, standard felpro head gaskets, the cam is advertised duration of 284/284 and lift at .544/.544, the intake is a port matched team G, and running a Holley 800 DP and I think the jets are #85 in the front and #87 in the back.

Hey fellas got a question, I've got a .030 over 454 running flat top pistons, and a set of 291 107cc closed chambered heads. Looks like I'm going to have to do a rebuild, I'd like to put some higher compression pistons back in it. But I'd like to get an idea of where it's at now compression wise and at what compression ratio do you need to step up to above 93 octane?

Well I drove out to Apple valley CA about 3 years ago and picked up my 77 hornet from another member on here. It was 1556 miles from my door to his one way. What location are you at?

They're talking about building a bigger shop where I'm at in the next 2 years and move 3 locations up to our shop. I haven't been involved with any wind loading I wouldn't mind seeing what that's all about. And I've been with par going on 9 years.

Yeah if you stay around that area or up further it's not bad, but Tuesday through Thursday you can run just about anywhere without any problems

I take my 77 hornet but but usually mid to late week so I don't get swamped, I try to stay up around the 33 mile marker or further up the lake

No problem bro, the block I'm using is a 4 bolt high performance passenger block, it's casting # is 3999289 and it's a 454 and I believe the casting date is 73

I have the same set on my ls6 block in my 19 ft hornet runs like a champ, from what I've researched on them they're 106.9 cc closed chambers, 2.19 intake, 1.88 exhaust, with 325 cc runners.

Hey fellas got a question I'm going to run my OT headers. If I run water injection on them will that quiet them down some? And or can I run water injection and baffles? Our local Johnny law revenue generators have a hard on for writing excess sound tickets.

Thank you very much for the info, yeah I'm gonna try to get it done I work at a shop with a full on machine shop with aluminum and stainless laying all over so if I have to I can build what I need, but I wasn't sure if a split bowl was considered a G style bowl or what and if it would even fit a 12 JE pump, and yes while I'm at it this pump is getting the full meal deal over the winter.

Well I got a 1977 hornet with a JE pump and noticed I had a pretty good growl coming from the bowl bearings, long story short I tore it down and found carnage but was wanting to put on a split bowl in the rebuild process, just for the purpose of putting on a droop. I've seen split bowls for sale but they don't say what they're off of and didn't want to buy anything that won't fit and thanks a bunch for the info and the welcoming this seems to be a great group.
