From what I've read (not that I believe everything on the net), it went up for auction & got no bids.  Original lein holder now has it back, but is anxious to get rid of it.  Supposedly it's only gonna be closed for 2 weeks to 1 month.  Here's hoping that the RR survives.

Many memories of The Sundance..............canned beer served upside down seems to come to mind!!!  With the BUI penalties now, I'm not sure I'd take the chances I used to before.................I'm sure the local authorities could literally cherry pick from there from about 11 PM on...... :sly:

Douglas is good, but $3.99 for a regular hamburger.......................It's cost us $20 to feed us both w/ drinks.  Feels like I'm at a sporting event...

If I want pastrami, I'll drive to The Hat in Brea.......................just make sure you get thier "wet fries!!!"

and feeling like eating some really unhealthy food and your driving down telegraph in Downey. Stop by Jim's Super Burgers on Passons and Telegraph and pick yourself up what they call a DUI. Chili cheese fries topped with pastrami and carne asada. I feel so much better.

+1.......................I've powered down quite a few DUI's at Jim's...........................just don't wanna be sharing the bed w/ me that night!!!!

The No Wake Zone / Pine Flats??
« on: September 01, 2008, 08:08:22 PM »
Got my sisters 40th bday coming up in a few weeks.  They live in Timbucktoo (Reedley), but are only about 40 minutes from Pine Flats.  I remember going there as a kid many moons ago, but need to refresh my memory.  Is it jet boat friendly?  Lots of Lake Lice on the water?  Any speed limits or muffler requirements?

I use any opportunity to drag the boat anywhere, but don't wanna drag it 4 hours only to find out they won't let me on the lake.

TIA.......  O0

Lower River / Where To Stay In Blythe?
« on: August 19, 2008, 10:54:01 PM »
Just got my 1980 18 ft Jetster up & going & we took it to Bluewater this past weekend.  It wasn't a whole lotta fun trying to deal w/ big boats & whitecaps & all.  We used to stay at McIntyre back in the day, but the old lady ain't into camping & we don't have a trailer.  Anybody have any recommendations on waterfront places to stay around the Blythe area?

TIA  :screwy:
