pretty much like 80% of the worlds batteries are made by johnson controls and then branded accordingly. to say one is better quality wise than another is pointless. most of the time if you use it for its intended use, it'll last. i currently have 2 yellow tops in my navigator, and i have marine duralast/autozone's in my boat. When (not if) something were to go wrong with the boat batteries its super easy to roll to an autozone and swap out their brand with a brand new one covered by warranty and I wont be screwed a weekend of boating.
Yes- exactly. Made in my town, no less. And it's dead true that a Walmart battery is off the exact mfg line as an Interstate. Go with proper size and follow the lowest price. Only advantage I've ever found with AGM is the ability to mount in any orientation. Otherwise nowhere near worth the price, in my opinion.
