Sorry for the slow response , been working on some liver damage in the Bahamas!   
  I like the color and it's not in too bad of shape. But the blue seats are turning to white with blue trim. Should be done sewing them up in a few weeks.  I will post some pics when there done.

Changing from a jc intake/bowl to a dominator. Found the clean out plug Sits down inside 1/4" To deep.  Do you guys mill them down flush?

Olds engines for jet boats are completely different animals than any engine you have or will build.

What heads you plan on running with these "flat top" pistons?

The drivers seat did have a few extra mounts on it,  probably a good indication of the crack your talking about, thanks for the heads up.
Plan to run H-Beam rods, forged flat tops, balanced assembly with rear of heads drilled for 1/2" oil returns to a 10 quart dooley pan.   Built a lot of motors never had to many bottom end problems!   Good rods / lots of oil / and balanced.  And know when to let off the skinny pedal.

Don't know if I will need to. It feels solid.  Once I get all the old carpet and everything striped out I will get a better idea if I will need to.     Is there a reason you asked?  Is there something I need to look for?
Just going to run a pissed off olds motor so I won't be making any big #s for HP. Probably won't spray more then a 150 shot.

Yep. Super Jet.  And yes I scored the tunnel ram too.  Going to use it on a new motor.   Trying my hand at some upholstery work for it!   Before and after.  I think the white will look better then blue

I have tried to post pics from my iPad and my phone. Haven't tried the computer yet. I go to attachments and choose the photo and it won't show up.  Not sure what the problem is.

I looked the dominator impeller over again today.  The leading edge is banged up and some good scars in it.  The front shoulder has some deep groves also.  I would not use it.  (Will make a good wear ring installation tool) It also has a much shorter front shoulder and uses a short wear ring with a large gap between the suction side and the impeller.   The leading shoulder on the JC impeller is much longer and fills the intire wear ring to the edge of the intake.  Seems like a lot less chance for blow by.    I did find out the out side diameter of the dominator bowl is larger then the JC bowl by about 250 thousands, so the transom cover needs to be modified to fit over it.  Also the clean out cover sits down inside the intake 3/8",  going to machine that off on the mill.

Can anyone tell me how to post pics on here,  I have a billet loader that look really nice that I cant find any info on,  if I could figure out how to post a pic  I'm sure someone on here knows what it is.  Thanks

thanks Flusher,  You are totally right ,there's alot of room between the impeller and the bowl.   I think a stuffer will be a must have.   I am also changing out the suction side to a dominator while its apart .  Surprised how much heavier the dominator suction side is then the berkeley JC.

Changing from a none split bowl to a split Dom bowl that had a shouldered impeller,  want to know if you can use a none shouldered impeller in it with a bowl stufer to make up the difference?   Reason is :  I have a new none shouldered impeller and the shouldered one is shot!
