Thanks for the reply!  I forget what manufacture the hull is.  I know they were not around long and its a one piece stamped aluminum hull.  We are in the very early stages of the project.  We hope to start striping down the hull in the next week or two. We just ordered a soda blaster to clean it up. I was told we would need that template to cut hull for the intake properly? And that they dont make them anymore. So I thought i would start looking for one now. If we truly do need it?  I will post more information about the model of the drive ect. As I find out more about it. Just got all the stuff droped off to me at the shop. Along with the olds 455. But haven't had a chance to look it all over yet.  I think the old man is still a little stuck in the 60-70's  and im already thinking there must be a better ignition system than the old points distributor.? Also wounding what carb would be good for that 455?  Would appreciate any input on that as well.

He's 72 and want to fight the river one last time.  I myself have never messed with a jet boat. But doing  my best to geter done. We need to cut a hole in the right place the first time !!   Any suggestions are appreciated! Im not familiar with the jet comunity.
