I am looking for the part number on the gasket that connects the bowl to the droop snoot. its a 8 bolt pattern, and is roughly 4/5" in diameter. I pulled it to inspect for any damage and found nothing wrong.
I think this is it but I'm not 100%

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Re: 4" Internal Exhaust flapper
« on: January 12, 2017, 05:45:34 PM »
that's what I thought, I have a bunch of amazon gift cards id use if I found something that matches that on amazon, but i cant find anything... I think ill just go external flap.

That's pretty much the going rate. I tried to find other options when I replaced mine to. What got about two years before they started falling apart again. So I cut the tips and went external flaps. They may not look as cool but they last forever and they are actually quieter. You don't get that exhaust rattle out of them. Just my 2cents

« on: January 12, 2017, 04:47:01 PM »
Im searching for the internal exhaust flappers, and found them on hardin marine and cp performance. My biggest question is are there any other places to get these like ebay or amazon? $80 for 2 is really pricey considering i can get new 4" tips with flaps for 125, or get the a flat cut tip for even less. any advice would be appreciated

i know you want a gen 5 but i have a gen 4 bbc all you got to do is drop it in really nice motor cruses around 3000-3500 spins 6000k in my jet boat

I already have almost a whole motor, I need oil pan, marine distrubiter, and misc hardware. Some things that would be nice but not necessary would be, better engine brackets, new starter, lightning headers, roller setup...billion dollars
