I was thinking about cutting it down shorter, but I’m 6’4” I like to be able to stand up. But the black frame came out awesome.

I must be blind. I just read those whole thread trying to see what your set up was. But 4k in that boat? Seems low.

I'm thinking the same thing. It's healthy for sure, and phone gps I've had it up to 65 with probably a lil more to go. Just crazy how fast some of those fishing boats are.

Well I got my ass handed to me by a bass boat. I did have 4 people in the boat, but he walked me bad. What's next? my buddy recommended a blower... 454, performance heads. Roller cam. I believe it's a AA impeller, droop. Thought it ran good till that guy drove right by me. Boat only turns 4,000 but I don't wanna be sucking fuel like a B impeller is what my old man said he had in it before. Like to turn about 4,800 wide open I think.

Yeah I saw that one, nice float for sure! So what's the best way to convince a buddy into buying a jet boat? I'm taking him out tomorrow to go spray some water and hopefully give him some motivation

My buddy picked this one up a while back for his winter project. Looks identical to a Hallet Bubble. Title says Dominator, any info on these? How well do these ride in the water?

Same!! I just read up on this, might try the wall mart D cover. Mine sits under a canopy and we have a very mild winter here

Search nikki kincaid insurance on here and it should pop up
Do you insure through her? How is it? Why is it difficult to insure them?

So I insured my boat the day before I got in the accident. Of course the rental place is being a pain with getting my boat fixed. Anyway I haven't told my insurance yet however I just received a letter saying my policy will end next month do to it being high performance? I'm assuming just because it has headers... what a joke it was sold from the factory that way and they are perfectly legal. So how do I get insured?

Man that is terrible luck. Glad you're alright so you can get her back on the water! Quick question though, where did you get the carpet you put in the boat and what type is it?? I have to do mine this winter.

Home Depot indoor/outdoor carpet. Use 3M number 90 spray adhesive

« on: September 21, 2017, 01:26:57 PM »
Depends how much you're wanting to spend. If you think the engine is going to be close to 5k then spend the extra money and order the GM604 crate. $6,200 and makes 400hp 400ft/lbs. simply put awesome motor. We run them in circle track and you can't hurt them. We turn the 6,800rpm

Small world! Parquer and those guys were sending me pictures of the ski that hit you this past weekend. Sounded like a wild day!

Sent from my iPhone using SoCal Jet Boats
Yeah it was wild, you have a jet boat? I'm trying to get a group started for next year and maybe hit up one of the SoCal trips to havasu or something. There used to be a ton of jet boats around this area need to get those guys to pull them out of the weeds

Wow, that sucks.

Millers are BAD ASS Battle Ships.

Glad nobody was hurt.

So, the rental Co. Is required to have insurance.

That would be my next step.

Dan'l
Right, they said they want to repair it without going through insurance. Which works for me. The guy on the ski broke 3 ribs and punctured lung. My buddy said he saw him earlier driving 3ft away from a hazard buoy.

I got it turned just enough that the guy didn't hit me at a direct 90. He was doing about 35 and probably would of put a hole right in my hot rod. Hit me so hard it spun the boat around. Found out this morning guy ended up with 3 broken ribs and punctured lung. Supposedly he is stable and gonna be ok. Scary moment

Jet ski junked my shit. Second time out in the hot rod I'm pulling into camp, almost to a idle and a jet ski renter turned right into me. Guy was looking at the beach the entire time and never even saw me

Quick question? Alternator wire that goes to ignition has a diode, is that old points set up? I'm running HEI so is this necessary?

Found these pretty sweet boxes on speedway, figured I'd probably mount a second battery over the winter. The old box was a steel plate with steel angle... not good
