Yes the intake is clear. I agree though, probably shot the clearances.
Well, I planned on doing some work, just moving my time line up.

Yes,
The line had a loose hose clamp and poped off. Once I got the water out I had sand in the back. So my assumption is I took some sand in when I got near the shore and before I shut it down. All happened pretty fast. Without taking the pump apart it all looks ok, but something is wrong somewhere.

Quick question.
Had My coolant line come off at speed a d took on a bit of water. Also the engine got warm and took some sand when I took it on the beach to get it hooked back up.
The engine starts and revs up fine, just no thrust. The boat had enough thrust to get back to the dock but that's about it.
It is a 454 with a Berkley jet, 1979. Any thoughts?
