I am restoring a 1976 19' Sleekcraft jet boat that came with a Jacuzzi WJ jet drive. I plan on building a twin turbo 468 BBC that will probably make between 700 and 800 horse. I just had a new transom glassed in and want to know if it would be worthwhile to buy an energizer kit or just replace the whole pump? The only existing hole is in the bottom of the hull for the suction, I have not yet cut the transom opening for the drive. I am not trying to set any speed records, however I would like to get the most bang for my buck. Does anyone make stainless impellers for the WJ? I also would like to install a diverter as well. Any information that I can get would be greatly appreciated. Also, I do have access to a machine shop in case any mods are needed to be made. Thanks
