Anytime Ray, I'm just sorry that you had to pull your boat out on Saturday. My buddy and I really got a kick of seeing the "Moo" up close and in person.........my kids would have loved it.

Back to the "Classic Boat Beach Bash"............funny because my buddy and I were talking about that on the way home Sunday. I'll talk to my wife tonight and get it all dialed in, maybe even get her dad to bring the pontoon out there for the family. Sounds great.

It was great getting together again and also meeting some of the new faces out at Big River this weekend. I wish we could have hung out with you guys a little longer and partied with all of you Saturday night. I was even jealous when I seen the pictures of you guys floating back on Saturday afternoon. I was under the impression everyone was just heading back to camp and trailering the boats. I left earlier in case I ran into some engine trouble (boat wasn't sounding to good) and I needed to be towed in. I figured that if I was out in front and had some trouble someone could have pulled me in as they went back to camp. Sucks for me..........Oh well.

Unfortunatly my father-in-law hurt his back during the week and was having a hard time getting around. I told him about the guys I had already met from SCJB and he was looking forward to heading out with us on Saturday to Big River, even though he was hurting. Well, it didn't work out as planned after he boated with us on Parker all day Friday. It clearly F'd up his back even more and he said there was no way he would be going with us. My buddy and I both agreed that we would hang out with him at Fox's for the night (Sat.) since he did allow us to stay at his pad for the weekend. I also figured I would make my wife happy by doing this as no one else could come out that weekend, including his son.

I look forward to the next trip out with everyone.........maybe Parker ??????????????? Just throwing it out there in case anyone is interested. Although, I do need to go through the engine before the next trip......

I will be heading out tomorrow night and staying in Parker at my father-in-laws. I plan to run the boat in Parker on Friday morning for some last minute tuning (sp) as I just finished replacing the intake gasket. I hope to see you guys out in the water on Friday afternoon after I gas up and replenish the beer.

I have two little ones (4 & 6), one in Kindergarden.

I read this and just sat here for a minute.............I finally called them both downstairs and showed them the picture of Lucas and told them that he was in a boating accident with his dad and uncle. When they asked me if he was ok, I couldn't tell them the truth. Instead I told them that we would donate some money to Lucas' family as his mommy was about to have another baby. I gave them both hugs and told them I loved them.

I couldn't imagine the pain the family must be going through at this time.............

My family will donate a hundred dollars to their account.

AWESOME....

I just want to thank the SCJB Family for allowing this "FAT MEXICAN" to hang out with all of you. I enjoyed meeting everyone this past weekend and hope to continue boating with all of you in the future. It might take me some time to place everyone's names and faces together so please except my apologies upfront if I screw something up.

Anyway, I was not disappointed at all with the genorosity and assistance from all those I met. To those that were able to put up with my 1001 questions, I am indebted to you and will gladly pay with adult beverages on the next trip. The chile, the pasta, the meat; ALL GREAT. Likewise, the conversations, the heckling, the circus acts, and especially the comradery made it such a memorable trip that I am ready to do it again.

Thanks again for a great time and I hope to see you at Big River for Father's Day.

Thanks guys.

I'll be leaving Friday morning just in case I run into some issues on the road. I'll also check the boards tomorrow night after work in case anyone needs anything brought out. I'd like to pitch in for the BBQ/buffet or whatever everyone is deciding to do out there for the weekend. I'm going solo and plan to either pitch a tent or just crash in the bed of my truck. Boats cleaned up and ready to go....should be since its had a lot of time to rest :-\.

I'm in.

I've been eager to get my boat back into the water after several failed attempts. Seems that when you haven't taken it out for some time things always seem to need replacing. I was really pumped up to go to the Elsinore trip in January, but unfortunately I was sidelined with leaking fuel lines. I replaced all the fuel lines ($$$) only to discover that my fuel pump also decided to take a dump.........AHHHH our type of boats that always seem to need some type of TLC. Sometimes I wish I was more mechanically inclined so that I could figure some of the stuff out much faster (frustrating). I guess the only positive side is that it's paid off and I don't have a payment for something that doesn't work. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the trip.

(Can someone add me to the list, thanks.)

Hello all, new to his site, although I've been lurking for a bit.  ;)

I've read the threads for this event and I would really like to come out, meet some new peeps, check out some old school boats, and drink some beers. I've had very little time to use my boat in the last four years due to family priorities (babies, house, marriage). I guess it's a good thing I bought the boat outright and I haven't had to make payments for something I don't use. Anyway, I usually run my boat out at Parker and have no problems finding AVGas, but since I rarely go to any lakes around here I need to know where I can purchase it near the Whittier area. I've called some of the airports and have had no luck....... Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
