Hulls / Bumper Trim?
« on: July 09, 2011, 10:29:28 PM »
Bumper Trim? For lack of a better name, I am calling that rubber strip with aluminum that goes around many hulls a bumper trim. Now I need to know where I can buy new pieces. Mine pretty much fell off on its own. Well, with a little help. Anybody out there point me towards the parts I need?
Thanks,
KT

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Nitrous

There must be a reason why I have never seen a nitrous oxide set up on a jet boat? Anybody? It seems like a logical and advantagous application. Why are there not a lot of boats with this system??

Gelcoat / Paint / Fireberglass Repair / Pickin'-Paint
« on: March 21, 2011, 08:30:39 PM »
I'm getting very close to finiishing my resto and am thinking about paint types and colors. The color is obviously a personal thing but type of paint is not. I have experience painting my work trucks and hot-rods but never painted a boat. I am inclined to think epoxy would be the best material to use but want to be sure. Any boat painters out there who coulod steer me in the right direction? My color combos are leaning towards blue on white or blue on blue. Both my tow rigs are white Chevy's. I want to coordinate somewhat but as I stated my concern is choosing the best materials. Help please?
Thanks,
KT

That was easy enough, thank you both. So I have the WJ and apparently better of the two. Is it worthwhile to install an energizer kit? If so, who's got the best kit?
Thanks,
KT

Jet Pumps / Jacuzzi Pump ID
« on: March 17, 2011, 08:54:04 PM »
I need to ID my Jacuzzi pump so I can start ordering parts. There are no visible numbers on the outside of the pump. It is on a 1978 California hull that had a 455 in it originally. That seems to be a popular combo for whatever reason. How do I tell a YJ from a WJ ?
