Tom bandy Spun out in turn 1 on both laps. the second time he was thrown from the boat and CJ 288 couldn't avoid running over the deck of his boat. Boat will require some deck and right gunnel repairs before it can hit the water again. Tom was OK . i assume he will be a little sore / stiff today .

Just Heard that some thieves broke into Ted Kolbys Racing Trailer that was stored in Havasu and Cleaned him out. This is suppose to be for fun guys. We don't need name calling/etc. Let s move on and see if we can't get a better showing at the next race. If anyone is looking for parts,help or advice I will be willing as well as a lot of racers here on the boards to see if we can't help out.

Shirl I understand where your coming from. I am not ready to give up on RR/NJ . I believe there are plenty of people who would like to race and it's just a matter of family , finances, timing etc. We got three to show and I think the very first NJ race at Lake ming had a total of 4. There might nothave been enough time for some individuals to get their boats ready as I have been told. Human nature has a habit of people procrastinating until the last minute and then not being able to get it done. Lets wait and see until the next opportunity arises to schedule a RR/NJ race.

I do not believe that another class is needed. RR/Nj is suppose to be an entry level class for those that might be interested in racing and have a family/river boat that they can do little safety modifications to and come out to have fun.For most it will be all that they want and need to do The GPS speed limit is so they can hone their driving skills . This is entirely a run what you brung class . When it was first used some ten+ years ago we started with 70 MPH and have moved it up to what we felt was reasonable. 80 MPH is a good limit. If they want to go faster then step up to CJ>SS<PS or Gn racing. In these times we are going thru its hard to fill existing classes.

Saved my self a lot of $$$$ but was very disappointed with the turn out. It was great to see those that did show up have a great time. thats what it is suppose to be all about. It is going to be a hard sell to get ross to schedule any further RR races im afraid after that showing.

shirl River Racer /Nostalgia was created so that someone who is interested in racing has a entry level class to enter where they can get the feel of racing competition, are able to enhance thier driving skills and see if this is something they want to do. The costs are minimal as they can run anything with the expense of only safety equipment. There are a lot of Jet boaters who race up and down the rivers who now have a chance to do it for real against competition. The speed limit keeps everyone on an even keel and allows for them to prove that driving skills are importent. My thoughts behind my offer is to see other people have the same chance as i have to enjoy the competition and friendship that racing brings

In the interest of promoting River Racer Jet Tav construction will pay the entry fee's for all boats (excluding CJ's who have raced the 2013 season openers) signing up for the April Parker Races. Finney Plastics, Rodger Finney will sponsor the class with a $ 500.00 Prize Pool to be paid to the top 3 finishers for the week end. There has been a lot of interest in bringing back this class so now it's time to step up and have fun. Boats and Drivers must meet all APBA Safety conditions.

Ralph I bought my seats from Summit They sell the Kirkey Economy lay backs for $ 115.00. Then i just cut the headrest part off and had a seat cover made. They work pretty good

Ron You have the results right. ( Ross's post on Performance boats results are wrong )The 288 actually tied with the 21 for point totals but lost 3rd due to lap Times. . Shirl was a little sore on Sat but he still drove his a-- off. Great races.

ar 3933 and 35 are for most aluminum heads. most cast iron heads would use ar 12 or ar22. you will run into some early cast iron heads that will require the long reach .

I doubt that they would schedule NJ at Long Beach. It was put on the sanction at Parker and we only had two boats show up and had to combine the Endurance Boats to make a race. I would concentrate on the Nov Parker race to try and put together enough boats to race. Also Long Beach is a tough course to run and it's not a good place to start for new drivers which many of the NJ would have. Matt i will see what i can do but we would need a confirmed boat count.
