The time has come for new seats. Stock front buckets are 17s and the back bench is probably original from the 70s. So I ordered 20" front buckets and a fiberglass rear bench shell from JBP. I just can't make up my mind on what color I want. JBP only offers a two color pattern.  The main color of basically the whole seat and a separate "trim" color. So just hoping to see some other yellow boats to get some ideas and/or inspiration. Whatever you got, let's see it!!

Are you talking about the fiberglass seat back or the upholstery?
I think a medium grey would look good.

It might be worth calling around to some marine upholstery shops maybe to get an idea of price.

Depends on how much you?re looking to spend. Are you looking for a nice tow cover or just something to throw over it while stored? If you do a search, there was a guy a lot of people used, I think he worked out if his house. I?ll take a look later and see if I can find the info. Most marine upholstery places will make custom covers.

If you want just a decent cheap one, Overtons online store is a good place to check out.

I need to get a new boat cover I?ve noticed my current cover getting beat up over the years and want to get a good quality one. Any recommendations? Thanks in advance

How?s everyone doing? Have not posted in a while been busy going on trips? here are some pictures from lake success, buena vista, kings river, and lake nacimento. Looking forward to the august event in a few weeks we gonna be at the Avi from Thursday to Sunday. Plan is Friday run down to pirates from needles marina. We also added a 4 degree wedge on the boat over at the shop? thank you mscatena? the mantra seems to like it and have had no issues with it. We?ll see y?all at the event

Looking for suggestions on where I should set idle on trailer.  1200ish?  Idles awesome on trailer about 900 rpm but, of course, in the water with the impeller lol ad won't stay running, and a moving, loaded boat is not ideal for idle tuning...

Like you said it?s different in the water, under load. Your going to have to set it a bit higher, then launch and do it on the water after it warms up a bit.

Long story short broke a u-joint sheared 7 of 8 wheel lugs had to buy rims that make my truck look like a Pisa truck lol almost damn near sank our boat cuz I forgot the plug . But despite all that my fam and I stood positive and made it safe to the river and back for the so cal jet boat event.  brown sugar ran like a champ and we met some solid people and my family and I had a gang of fun. Ready for the next one after a rim purchase and a 300 point inspection on the truck lmao

What are the fastest hulls (non drag race) that you could use regularly and still be the fastest guy on the lake?  Sanger?  Rogers? Hondo? Daytona?  Others??

Tunnels-
TPR/Edge Stealth
Cheyenne/Predator
Eliminator 19? Daytona

Gullwings-
19? more room and good ride, 18? is quicker

V-bottoms
Rogers
Bahner
Southwinds

Weight is your enemy in a jet boat. The tunnels and gullwings can come in different lay ups. The race layup is lighter, =quicker and faster. Lake lay up= a bit heavier but more durable to rough water. The less wetted surface the better, to a point anyway. An efficient pump with properly ?tuned? hardware (shoe, ride plate, nozzle) are key to speed. You can throw all the horsepower you want, but if it doesn?t convert to thrust out the nozzle on an efficient hull, you?re leaving acceleration and speed on the table.
