Fabrication / Windshield
« on: April 25, 2021, 06:57:02 PM »
Any ideas for starting from scratch on a windshield? Rebuilding a 20ft Sleekcraft and windshield and all the brackets are gone. Anyone know of parts suppliers for brackets etc. Web searches have turned up very little. Thinking about just buying some aluminum channel and making everything.

Jet Pumps / Re: 12 JC-A Bowl sealing to transom

Yes there was a plate at the top step out also. The gap between the ring and trans was around 3/16". I am not sure on what type of hull it is. Some posted on one of my previous posts that it was a Sleekcraft. I've searched the number on the hull with no luck.

Jet Pumps / 12 JC-A Bowl sealing to transom
« on: August 16, 2020, 10:27:58 AM »
I have a 12JC-A Berkeley pump in my boat. How do you seal the bowl to the transom? There is no seal or oring in the rebuild kit for the transom. Is it just straight sealant like 5200? Picks below of pump and transom. All that it had when I disassembled the boat was sealant and the aluminum ring that is also pictured. Seems like a big gap for just sealant...

Got the deck sitting back in place and it fits better than I expected. Should get it all bonded back together this weekend.

Didn't get as far along today as I had hoped for. Floors took a little longer than anticipated.  But I was able to get the deck sitting over the hull. Will have some more pics tomorrow with it sitting flush and in place.

Got the stringers and transom wood replaced and covered. Also replaced all the wood under the deck and fixed some old bad repairs. Will be putting the floors in tomorrow and setting the deck back on the hull. Hopefully I will get the bulkheads made and fitted by the end of the day.

Did some grinding and sanding, removed some previous bad repairs and all the dry rotted and wet wood. Getting ready for some new stringers.

Did some trading with my brother and pulled her out of the barn after many years of sitting. Gave her a bath and started tearing it apart so that i could see what all needs replacing.

Hulls / Help Identifying Hull New Project
« on: April 06, 2020, 08:27:17 PM »
Anyone have any ideas of the manufacturer?  According to the serial number it was made in 76. The first three digits of the serial number doesnt jive with anything I can find online. Looks similar to some Sleekcraft I've seen online. Any help is appreciated.

What is the best bedding epoxy to use to reset the intake for a jet drive? And where is a good place to purchase it from?

  Thanks
