are hyper pistons ok in a cruiser setting?

Yes they are just fine when installed with the proper clearances.  Running an engine that came out of a truck may or may not work because a truck engine has different clearance specs than a marine engine.  If I was you I would build the engine the right way once and not be stuck out on the river or lake waiting for a tow back to the launch.  I tried the old junk yard engine and it didnt work out for me.  The top ring on the pistons was not gapped for marine use and popped the lands off of 3 or 4 forged pistons.  Good luck with whatever plan you choose.

I must have had some really old starters because in order to get the bendix back in, either the engine would kick it back in or when it was off the starter guy would hit the teeth against a wire wheel and it would pop back in.  My starters didnt have any type of spring that i remember but I think I do remember it being some type of ratcheting type o' thing. Thats just what happened to me anyways.

I had the same weak starter problem to so I ended up ditching the top mount that I could never get to work right and have been using the same autozone stocker special for 2 years without a single flaw.  I have had the starter underwater before and still fired the engine up so I wouldnt worry about that.

I just replaced the flywheel with a normal flywheel so I hope its a normal starter. Thanks for ur help. Mike

No thats the new to me house I bought in Cali.

On my boat I have 1/2 for the water and 3/8 for the fuel.  Im not sure if 3/8 for the fuel would feed two holley's sufficiently though.

I agree because and here is why.  If noone wore seatbelts then the accidents could potentially be worse, as stated before and our vehicle insurance (which I think is a complete scam!!!) would be through the roof because of more bodily damage in an accident.

Thats the way I look at it.  And if you dont wear a helmet on a bike you are a complete moron and should not be allowed to breed and make more morons.
