loved the 5.13's, it was an auto.  I bought it as a trade in here at the dealership, the original owner picked it up from jeep and took it straight to get the lift and wheels tires, drove out of that shop and did not like it, turned around and had the gears done, still did not like it so did intake, exhaust and chip, bumpers.  It towed the boat ok, took a bit to get up to speed and had to drive very carefully, the boat has excellent brakes so that helped but you could feel it "moving" at 65+  loved the jeep but needed a better tow vehicle for the boat and my rock crawler,  so ended up with a mega cab diesel 4x4 lifted.

DEFINATLEY NOT THE SAFEST!!.  but it did tow it just fine to pleasant and back several times.  regeared to 5.13, 35's, chip, intake and exhaust.

it took us over a year to get forked up.  same type situation, boat just sitting, left notes weekly on the house.

mine does it all the time.  I have heard it from the spray suntan lotion, not sure how much i believe that but...  It usually clears up in a couple hours of being in the sun.

Kayotyk's answer makes much more sense than the spray lotion :)  never thought of that.

I am trying to find forkedup.  If anyone knows where it is or who owns it now would you please let me know.  I have regretted selling her since day one and would really like to try and get her back.  Don't care what condition she is in, check my build thread on her.  I am not scared :) I have been watching Cl across the country and various other sites.   Thanks for the help guys.

Making some headway on the Jeep crawler project.  suspension is done, full hydro steering is done, driveshafts are built, custom fuel cell is built, gears, locker and spool installed, upgraded front stub shafts to 35 spline, rear seat and harnesses installed.  Getting closer.  Next week i build the exhaust, plumb the fuel and brake systems and hopefully start and drive it very soon.  Not sure if I have enough suspension travel though O0

also changed over to a flipped dana 300 transfer case with twin cable shifters

Jet Pumps / Re: No reverse with ride plate
« on: August 05, 2013, 09:13:31 AM »
where can I find a ram horn style reverse bucket? I was considering taking the ride plate off so I could get on the water this weekend.

call Tom at JBP, he can probably hook you up with a bucket,  I ran a droop and diverter on my Daytona with a rideplate and reverse sucked to say the least.  Everyone told me to go Ram horn style because it pushes the water to the sides and not down onto the ride plate.

Dan,
if you are only going to do a 35, I would consider d44's instead of the 60's, pumpkins are smaller and will allow for a little more clearance. and the 44's are less expensive to aquire and build.

Your correct on the H3, that will just make it that much easier to drive over  ;)
