1971 Kona for sale. I am the second owner and bought it in late 2007 and completely restored in 2008.  Everything was rebuilt, or replaced on the boat and trailer. The only items reused were the hull, block and heads, pump intake and trailer frame and axel.
It was garage stored by original owner and I have done the same. We used the boat weekly during the summer from 2008 to 2012 and very occasionally since then.  It is in really good shape and ready to go to the lake. We have got involved in other things and have decided to let it go.

Berkeley 12 Jc split bowl with AT a impeller built by tom at JBP. Loader. Manual place diverter. Spins at 4850 rpm.
Completely rewired from stem to stern
New carpet, seats, upholstery, clarion stereo with bazooka sub (don't laugh, it actually hits pretty decent)
New Hardin marine stainless gauges, steering wheel, shifter.
New aluminum saddle tanks hold 9 gal each
Painted by Kerry naselroad in bakersfield.
Custom bemini top from sierra canvas works in bakersfield last year. It is stout and does not have to be folded down for high speed runs (that guy does great work)
Trailer was rebuilt, rewired, new wheels, painted, led lights
The boat is in good shape. There are a few scratches from over the past 10 years, but looks new. It would be hard to tell that it was restored 10 years ago.

Speed? It's a 65mph boat. I have seen higher numbers than that on gps, but I'm going to claim that it's a 65 mph boat.
The way we set the boat up will jerk a 200 pound person out of the water on a ski and the driver will not lose sight of the water over the bow.

When we were building the boat I stopped counting cost at $20k.... and drank more beer....lol

This has been a fun, reliable ski and hot rod.

I used it on (dare I admit) a jet ski and it worked well.  I used a 7" polisher where I could and did the rest by hand

Where at in Bako since I am a resident of this oh so beautiful city myself. I think I would have ran for my .45 cal before I called 911 myself. So I'm sitting in my garage last night on the phone with a friend, with the garage door closed and I hear a car start.  I tell my buddy "I think someone is stealing my car."  I hit the door opener and sure as sh*t, some guy is pulling out of my drive way in my commuter car

Good thing is I called 911, the Sherrif shows up in like 30 seconds the getto bird flys over the nieghbor hood and they found my car running in the middle of the road three blocks away in like 5 min.

Bad thing is, the dude ditched the car and they didn't catch him

Cop tells me to secure my sh*t b/c they will be back.....

Yeah its bad that weep hole is there for a reason its letting you know to replace it. tell your friend to do his-self a favor go buy a Berk. I have a Panther and cant wait to get it off my hands. no one wants to touch it

Or he can have JBP convert it to Berk.
