If it was just a little cheaper. Here's one of those thing that scream yea you can but should ya build it. With all that ass weight I'll bet donuts would be awesome. Just sharing.

The No Wake Zone / Optima battery whats the verdict?
« on: January 17, 2014, 12:08:49 PM »
Last I searched here Optima red/yellow/blue received a bad rap, is that still the case? I've been running my Wally World special for 2 years and had no problems but now that its time to replace would like a gel sealed type. Thoughts on Optimas and if so what color? I would guess yellow.

Curious to see just how hot its gets. Might get a temp probe and throw inside car.

Lake Havasu / HELL-VASU this weekend and surrounding
« on: June 27, 2013, 12:59:10 PM »
Stay hydrated my friends, and I mean water. Super crazy heat this weekend. Im reading Fri-Sun anywhere from 118 - 125*F. I aint skeered. Covering fuel tanks and carb with wet towels then me. Freezing my water bottles tomorrow.

And open on Saturday. Anyone know?

My original thought was Havasu but then girlfriend said I was nuts and the best place around is the Avi. We'd have the Avi Beach, Pirates Cove, that little hidden-cant remember the name bar, Topic, and we could even spend a fortune and even float down to Havasu. Telephone cove came up but that's sorta lame except for gasoline alley. But then again one of my sayings is....with the right people you could have fun at a funeral. So who says what?

The Parker Strip / Parker party this Saturday the May 4th
« on: April 29, 2013, 07:21:00 AM »
Good luck party for Nikki passing the BAR exam in 2 weeks. Who ever wants to come over and drink free beer-yes free beer- let me know. Otherwise we might bar hop along the river.
And my fiancee is going to miss 90% of the AVI event maybe she'll make it Saturday night late. >:D So she wanted to see River Island this coming weekend and relax, so I booked a night to camp and float around all weekend before she goes for it next week. I know I had ideas of going other places with a couple of you but this is out my hands. If anyone wants to come over and hang out and bring their floaters let me know I'll have lots of free beer and that Firewater poison.
And if things work out I'll have another congrats party in a couple months. ---just a reason to party right??

Jet Pumps / ANY help on this jet and I would be very grateful.
« on: April 27, 2013, 09:49:10 AM »
Ive researched most here and Ive decided to paint my jet and itll give me a chance to dig into the unknown for me. What silicone seals the bowl to the square Berkeley part? Then what silicone seals the square to the boat hull? If I unbolt the bowl does it seal with an oring or is that silicone also? Looks straight forward. Unbolt bowl the remove square part, all frkm inside. Since im going this far is there anything I should be looking for, that is a ware item?

Trailers / quick trailer rim size question
« on: April 26, 2013, 11:16:01 AM »
Thinking of getting new rims for my trailer I researched and found out that more than likely the rims are 5 on 4.5, but what is the backspacing?

Since I was solo this weekend I had nothing but time to work on my floaters tune. My first 20 sec full bonzai run I pullex this plug.  The timing mark couldnt be any clearer. I need to order the magnifying glass to see better deep in there but im close. Maybe pull 1 degree of timing and jet up 1 more. This was made with about 50% AV gas and pump.

The No Wake Zone / Avi yestetday
« on: April 07, 2013, 10:11:10 AM »
Thanks to everyones help and tips on setting up boat. Everything went flawless right off the trailer. Boat screams now. Last year the boat maxed at 3600 rpms this time instant 4900 rpms and i still havent power tuned the engine, its running a little rich but not at idle or part. I have my first boat drag race against a Ford and it was awesome and we kept doing it both boats very much the same nobody pulled away. Drove down to Pirates cove and back- that burned up a shit load of fuel. Boat and pickup became an instant bar at the end of the day. All good till you figure no bathroom around so pissing in the parking lot really pissed of security. Gonna do it again today even with sunburn!!

The No Wake Zone / My victim for April fools, my sister in law.
« on: April 01, 2013, 10:15:03 AM »
Got many with this one.

To check main jetting, run wide open 20 seconds, then kill boat and check the leanest plug. So how do I avoid the wave that follows me when I just get out of the throttle? I'm pretty sure if I did that I could give the Titanic a run for its money on sinking. Once I get past that how to change jets? Beach the boat and point it towards the lake? All I gotta do is take it to the lake next weekend and sort out the main jetting/timing. I suppose a sand bar area would be nice, somewhere by the casino by the end damn in Parker but I hear it gets real rough on the weekends. My girl will be outa town so I'll be on my own, able to think.
