Engines / Engine Parts For Sale / FS: BBC 990 Heads
« on: September 12, 2011, 04:14:49 PM »
These heads are extremely nice. Really nice port work done to them. Has over size intake valves, and 1.88 exhaust valves...also has crower dual springs for a mechanical cam. The springs handled over 600 lift. I can check with crower to see how much they can handle. The port work is extremely nice, the ports are completely smooth to the valve. For an extra $100 I will include the roller rockers and poly locks

$1000 for the heads
$1100 for heads and roller rockers/ poly locks

Heads have maybe 20 hours on them

Many members have seen these heads and have vouched for the work on them

Trailer is a competitive trailer tires and wheels in great condition

Projects / Nordie's New Project
« on: May 16, 2011, 04:38:21 PM »
Don't expect this one to take off very soon, but as some of you know this was Pat's boat "thanks Pat" this will be a slow work of progress, but it was time for me to step-up as my tahiti was not liking the new motor/pump combo at all the Tahiti rand 74 mph which is respectable...

So here it is

The boat is going to need a little bit of fiberglass work, im going to close the access hole on top of the pod, and redo the dash from some gauge holes being filled, im not sure if i am going to add any gauges or mount them on a cool guy plate...this boat will be rigged to run strong, and i plan on still using it as a lake boat, so it will be getting a splash gaurd!

Today i stuck the new donor pump into the boat, to free up some space...that will be rebuilt using my new impeller from my berkeley rebuild, the berkeley will get an a impeller put back into it for the new owners power "whoever that may be"

and this part is going to be addressed, pat explained this to me yesterday on the phone!

looks like a color sand and buff...

Also looks like a got a long ways to go, but first my finances need to get in order
Wish me luck

« on: April 17, 2011, 09:30:08 AM »
Woke up to get the swamp cooler ready for today...gonna be 90...got it all cleaned up and filled it full of water, and the pump is toast...waiting for my brother to bring one now...decided i can fix the water line to the ice maker this morning...sweet no problem, had it pulled out so i could dry the floor and wall because the cleaners broke it yesterday...i did fix it yesterday but i had to wait till everyrhing was dry...well i forgot i unplugged it yesterday to avoid shock and bam open the door i get an ice cold slushie bath...

So it has begun...beer time! I still gotta mow the lawn...hope that goes well!

So good morning my fellow scjb'ers...this beer is for all of you! And the one after that! Did i mention i got 40 people coming over at 3:00 & half of em i dislike!

The No Wake Zone / Employed by the state of california
« on: March 28, 2011, 08:38:37 PM »
So work has been stupid stupid slow for me...I mean come on im in the construction trade...Well my old super intendant has been in contact with me and asking what has been going on with me at work...well the people that took over for him take the family, and friends as their main priority for keeping busy "which is understandible"...anyway my old super intendant has kept in touch with me and asked me about my work hours...well 2 weeks ago while i am dealing with all the other chrises in my life he asked me to show up to orientation at a new state of the art power plant in california for orientation...so friday knowing i was going to be off on monday i set it all up...so today i spent all day at orientation, and a phone call to my other company about the fact i was there did not go over so well...should i feel bad about this? they work me like 30 hours one week, then sit me at home the next! As it appears now i half to drive to state line everyday, and do what i do? What is state tax going to be like, or do i even have to deal with that? are you californians mad at me? should my previous company be mad at me for not telling them? or should i be proud of being part of the worlds largest solar power plants in the world?

Today my grandfather passed away! With no signs of anything...He was a health nut and constantly active at the age of 79, nonsmoker or drinker...He just came back from china from a 3 week vacation, and he had a high heart rate cause all he did was walk...this morning he never woke up! Im at a loss for words right now!

moral is: you never know when it is your turn!

You guys made it sound like a bitch...with some rod busting tools no freaking problem...a 15" cresent wrench attatched to a 3 prong hickey bar...a hickey bar is what i use at work to bend rebar...followed by a 2 foot flathead screwdriver to hold the flywheel...one little push and right off

Is any of this yours? I think the 1/4" flat washer was it that you were looking for?

This is by no means acceptable to my standards! I hate this focking transom adapter
