The No Wake Zone / Miss Mint 400
« on: March 06, 2011, 07:58:00 AM »
Im writing this for my friend Stacey and I am blatantly soliciting your vote for her for Miss MINT 400.

For those of you that don't know her she is an awesome chick and a good friend. Besides just being hot, she actual goes to races and the desert.  I've seen her out there plenty of times. Besides just attending, she gets involved in the sport she loves.  She has helped me with many FAST-aid fundraisers, She raised close to 5k for the California 200 accident fund. helped on many pit crews and isnt affraid to get dirty. On top of that she is an all around good person.

If everyone could take a quick second and go vote for her it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. It would be nice to see a girl from the sport win instead of just some random model

The No Wake Zone / Frusterated beyond belief
« on: January 27, 2010, 01:17:16 PM »
So for my new years present from work they decided to lay me off! great! ( I can still get good deals on race fuel) Ive been very active in my job search with 0 luck! Its is very frusterating.

Ive now decided Im going to take a chance and try and move to Phoenix. Chandler area prefered but ill take anywhere. First I need to find work out there. Does anyone know anyone hiring or anywhere you can get me in at. I can pretty much do anything, but have a strong mechanical and racecar/boat prep backround. I have a couch i can crash on for a bit but dont want to over stay my welcome. Im looking to start over and i think Phoenix might be a good place to start.

any thoughts or help?

Boat Racing / C/J 511 parker onboard video
« on: May 18, 2009, 10:28:14 AM »
With some very crude editing software and lack of computer skills on my part this is how it turned out! The camera is a little $160 deal you can buy at hobby people or most local motorcycle shops. It just suctions on push the button and go. Looks like Ron needs a little more side support in the seat but he wont give up the suspension seat. oh well. Enjoy

Project Boats For Sale / 1977 sanger custom jet
« on: May 06, 2009, 10:40:45 PM »
OK boys and gurls, its time to get rid of dome things. My 1977 sanger has been sitting in my uncle back yard for a couple months. his wife is sick of looking at it and I dont have the money to finish it. Its a solid boat and trailer. bought it last summer and drug it home from sacramento. It bare hull, berk intake, pump sealing ring and trailer. The sub floor on the left side has crack in the glass and is a slight bit soft but would be fine to toss seats in and run. I started sanding all the paint off to re shoot and that as far as I got. non of the parts shown in the pics are going except for what is mentioned above. $1300 OBO Thanks Kyle 760-455-8588

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Help with a 460 combo
« on: March 03, 2009, 08:00:38 PM »
I just tore down my 460. Everything looks good, just stock. I had the crank checked and polished. Rods are all in good shape. Now for the rebuild. My thoughts for the bottom end. Summit has the flat top piston rebuild kit for $550. Bumps the compression to 9:1 or so. Is this a good option?

Next I need a good Cam, Manifold, Carb combo. The heads are stock D3VE-A2A. Theres no flow work done. Ive hurd to just leave them allown and run them. I know theres a couple of BBF guys here that can build some good power cheap. It would be cool to get 500 horse out of it with more being a huge +++++. But $$$ is always an issue, Let me know what you guys think. Im excited to get this thing underway and DONE

I plan on picking it up monday. 76bonneville said I needed an investment, thanks Ron! plans are to put a bbf in her. make a 2 seater river racer. what kind of power do i need for a good mph, 80s would be nice to start. Dont know much about the performance of this hull or if big mph is possible out of this boat. has a berk JG with a hyd. diverter. dont know about the internals yet. what can I expect for MPH with decent power? is there any specifics that the hull likes to go fast? i.e shoe, ride plate, etc. thanks for any help. looking forward to this build ;D

Its got a berk JC pump with a manual place diverter. 1 year old seat custom seat cushions. holds 75 gallons of fuel. all around a great family boat. and seeing how Im 22 with no family i want to go fast again. haha. The No Wake Zone / First trip on the new boat
« on: April 27, 2008, 09:45:44 PM »
Just got home from fishers landing. It was my first time there. I really like the camp ground and the section of river. The new boat ran perfect all weekend. Needs a little more power but it wasnt 50 mph isnt bad with 50 gallons of fuel, 4 people and there crap. sorry no pics forgot the camera. I think I might head out that way again for memorial. Only had 1 small problem. Lost a trailer tire in el centro. luckily there was a sears close by. $62.50 for the cheapest tire they had. It was kinda hard to get it too. They cant sell tires for a trailer for liability reasons, so I told him  it was for a car, as im standing in front of the trailer missing a tire. Either he was being cool or he wasnt the sharpest tool in the shed. But all and all a great weekend. Oh and gas was .50 cents cheaper in AZ the San Diego ;D
