Boat Showcase / New to me boat

Picked up a turn key runner bottom only to find out all the fuel lines leaked, distributed clamp as upside down, flex plate was junk, starter was junk, fuel filter mount was cracked. Also the prop was cracked on both ears. Also the guy didn’t bolt the scoop down so it blew off on the way home, probably my fault should have checked that 
Still got a good deal and now it’s turn key.

Boat Racing / ADBA finals at Hidden Lake in Buckeye

Thank you again to SoCal jet boats, Brad and Brit for there continued support of ADBA drag boat racing. Hidden lakes in Buckeye in an awesome place to race and even more bad ass to spectate, the starting line is really close to the shore making it a hell of a spot to spectate. This place will be bad ass place with a little fine tuning. I got a few pics throughout the weekend, we where to busy watching the race, I’ll do better next time

Lake Havasu / Family flat bottom trip

Took the flatty from Havasu site 6,to Topock with my son for breakfast. Only burned 10 gallons to get there. Weather was perfect, and on Sunday morning we where the only boat at the sand bar. Couldn’t ask for a better trip.

Projects / New cav Plates

Changed the cav is plates over memorial weekend from 1/4 to 3/16, made it way easier to push the plates, also opened up a can of worms after I saw the boat had a busted stringer. Me and my son busted are ass’s all weekend got it glassed up and back together Monday and back on the lake Tuesday. I now have about 1 1/8” of travel on the plate the boat damn near drags the bow eye in the water when I shove the down pedal down, and turns way harder, and handles way better. It’s gettin better and better the more we screw with it. It’s has been a great father son project with my son, it keeps him away from the video game and at 14 he drives the shit out of it

Ran it for a year didn’t handle for shit, so tearing it apart again. Moving the strut and shorting the cav plates, also redoing the geometry on the plates. It worked ok but would not take a set unless I had a foot full of down pedal
