Trailers / Trailer Restoration
« on: February 02, 2014, 09:34:48 AM »
Figured I'd start a thread about this. This trailer was pretty much given to me. tandem axle, old school and solid. The only problem with getting it free was that it was rusted to hell. So the plan was to strip down the old rigging, strip the paint and rust, repaint the trailer, new brake lines, new led lights, new bunks, new trailer hubs, new drums and brakes and brake lines. I actually started on Friday I just wanted to start the thread before I got to far into it.

Hulls / Help identifying hull...
« on: February 01, 2014, 08:00:43 AM »
I was wondering if someone could help me identify this hull. It has no HIN on the transome. Full stringers. Jacuzzi intake. 18' footer. I called Nevada fish and game and they said it was originally homebuilt in California and registered as a 1958 wooden boat.

Jet Pumps / Hull mods for Jacuzzi
« on: May 08, 2013, 03:41:18 AM »
I bought this jacuzzi pump for my hawaiian on impulse :banghead:.... but the boat is already set up for a berk... I guess my question is would it be a headache to modify the boat for the jacuzzi??? Is it even worth it??? Or would i be better off just buying a berk and putting the jacuzzi on craigslist???? Thanks in advance

Gelcoat / Paint / Fireberglass Repair / Help
« on: April 19, 2013, 08:31:38 PM »
I picked up a 18' Hawaiian hull a few months ago. Put it in storage and now im ready to get it together... To start I am replacing the floor in the morning. I've never worked with fiberglass but after a little homework it doesnt look too hard. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Just looking for some pointers before I get started. Also I want to reinforce/replace the stringers.. This is my first jet and is a bare hull. I've built a 350_0.30 over w/ speed pro forged flat tops and a GM steel crank with camel humps 2.02/1.60.... no carb, intake, or cam picked out yet.. this motor is for my el Camino project and I thought about putting it in the boat but after reading about some of the setups on SCJB i'm thinking go big or leave it in storage.O0
