« on: May 25, 2012, 05:23:11 PM »
What size hardware are the bolts that hold the intake to the hull?  5/16 or ¼?  I can’t figure out what I did with the old ones to check.

Gelcoat / Paint / Fireberglass Repair / First glass attempt...
« on: May 07, 2012, 07:10:44 PM »
Ok, this was my first time doing any glass work on my own, so please be nice… originally a couple years ago, I pulled the intake because it was leaking and needed to be reset, since it was out I was talked in to doing a setback pump so I took the sawzall to the hull only to find out after talking with a few experts, Millers don’t like a setback pump :banghead:.  So now I gained some experience replacing everything I cut out. I still need to flip the hull and finish the bottom work but here are a couple of pics of my progress.

The No Wake Zone / more polishing
« on: January 20, 2012, 05:03:19 PM »
in between working on all my projects, my work truck gets in the way and requires attention from time to time. I'm hoping if it looks nicer i will get harassed by the highway patrol less so i decided to clean up some. after talking to a bunch of polishers, everyone told not to waist my time with these and just buy new wheels. i don't have that kind of coin so with a bunch of sanding , polishing, buffing and 6 hrs per wheel, here is how they look.  now i have some good practice and my boat is going to look sweet...

The No Wake Zone / driveline help...
« on: October 11, 2011, 08:04:29 PM »
since we don't have a tow rig section i am asking this here , can someone tell me how i can get more flex or angle out of my front drive shaft on my pickup? it is a 1980 c30 chevy i converted to 4x4 using all factory parts from a 86 k30 chevy, i threw in some 2'' springs in the front and now the drive shaft will bind up at full droop. it has plenty of extra length but the cv joint at the transfer  case is where the problem is. can i clearance the cv out without any problems or do i have to buy a custom one? here is a pic of what I'm talking about  (not my pic)

The No Wake Zone / somewhat funny story
« on: January 16, 2010, 06:06:16 PM »
i thought some of you might like this. when i was about the age of 3 or 4, i thought it would be a great idea to fill the lower unit of my dad's mercury outboard with sand and gravel.  shortly after it got replaced and i got  a belt to my A$$. now i have my own son and he is 2, today we were outside i was doing yard work and he was playing with his toy's and stuff, after that i went uncover the boat to work on it and guess what. he had the pump full to the diverter  with rocks...for a split second i was about to explode, then all i could do was laugh and call my dad and tell him . like father like son
