Lower River / Best place to launch in Blythe

Hey guys can anyone recommend a good place to launch in Blythe? We usually go to Lake Mohave or Needles but I live a bit closer to Blythe and want to try it. Thanks

Boats For Sale / Selling 1976 18ft Wreidt Maverick Jet Boat

Now that I have kids we want a bigger boat so I am selling my 1976 18ft Wreidt Maverick Jet Boat been in family since new.  1/4 stringer boat, 460 Ford runs great has good oil pressure just had it at the river a couple weeks ago with no issues.  It has a Berkeley Jet with Bassett Headers. The Interior is nice but the paint is spider webbing on the deck.  Tandem axle Roadrunner Trailer with new bunks and good tires.  asking 5000 obo

We are going to the river next weekend and I was wondering what some of the guys with little kids have done with over the transom headers. My daughter is 2 1/2 and it will be her first river trip. I was thinking ear plugs but was just curious if anyone has a better idea. The headers on my boat are wet also. Thanks!

1976 18ft Wreidt Maverick jet boat, 460 Ford, Berkeley jet, bassett headers, been in family since new, all original , runs great, only problem is the metal flake on the deck is spider webbing but everything else is in great shape, always garaged. The boat sits on a Roadrunner tandem axle trailer with new bunks, had the bearings repacked a couple years ago, good tires, asking 5500 OBO call or text 760-780-9385

Can you guys give me an idea on how much it would be to get just the red metal flake repainted on the deck and around the top of the boat. It is really getting bad but the rest of the boat is stil in good shape. Thanks.

What do you guys use to change your oil? Do you drain it right into the bildge or use a drain kit with a hose or one of those pumps that pump the oil out the dipstick?

Does anybody know what type of shelf life motor oil has, I found some conventional valvoline I bought in 2008 and forgot about. What do you guys think should I run it in my boat.

My boat is a 76 Wreidt and it has a 460 Ford in it, my Dad bought my boat new in 76 and I bought it from him when I was 18 in 2004. We always maintained everything well and it still runs good today my question is should I think about doing a rebuild on the motor before something happens or should I leave it alone. Thanks

I went to Target in Apple Valley with my wife yesterday, we were in shoping for about 40 minutes and when we came out somebody had stolen my tailgate. My truck is a 2006 Chevy Silverado so it didnt come stock with a lock on the tailgate but I will for sure be getting a lock when for my new tailgate.

Trailers / light wont work

I just replaced the tail lights on my trailer and the left one works perfect no problem, but the right one only the brake light and turn signal work but the running light won't work and I am stuck, any suggestions? Thanks in advance!!!

Jet Pumps / leaking gear oil

Last summer gear oil started leaking out of the nozzle of the jet and the intake under the boat. Has any one had this problem? Is it something i could fix my self at home, i was thinking about taking it to GS marine.

i needed to change my motor oil so i warmed my boat up on the trailer with water running through the motor but not the jet. when i was all done and i put the boat back in my garage i noticed gear oil leaking out of the nozzle of the jet and from the intake underneath the boat. i know i screwed up big time any suggestions on what i should do. i have a berkeley jet on my boat.

I have a 76 18ft wreidt with a 460 ford and a berkeley jet. when the boat is idiling the oil pressure is at 60 lbs and when on the throttle at around 3000 RPM it is like at 70-75. i have heard people say that is very high and other people have said that is perfect. any help would be appreciated.
