Boat runs great & starts up every time. Paint has scratches and dings on the bottom but does not leak. Good pump and interior with an Olds 455 big block. Trailer has new tires single axle.

The boat has a 600cfm edelbrock 1406, on a 455 olds. What is the best way to go edelbrock or holly carburetors? Should I rebuild this one or replace it with a hollY?

Boats For Sale / 1980 Chrysler 15' Striper fishing boat SOLD

Boat is small open bow and good space in the back. Great little fishing, duck hunt boat. 70hp Johnson Seahorse runs great and is in perfect shape. The boat hauls ass and handles great. Trailer is still in good shape, surface rust but no cracks that I can find. Brand new axle & hubs and new trailer lights and wire loom. Only asking $800 obo current reg, and clean title.

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / 455 olds engine low oil pressure

I just picked up a 1973 Wriedt with a 455 olds. The first time out the oil pressure dropped to 20psi after a couple laps at elsinore. The front and back intake manifold pan gaskets were leaking oil badly also. I have heard that this is typical for the 455 olds motors. What do you people think?
