The No Wake Zone / need help please

I am trying to find forkedup.  If anyone knows where it is or who owns it now would you please let me know.  I have regretted selling her since day one and would really like to try and get her back.  Don't care what condition she is in, check my build thread on her.  I am not scared :) I have been watching Cl across the country and various other sites.   Thanks for the help guys.

Projects / jeep progress ( i know its not a boat)

Making some headway on the Jeep crawler project.  suspension is done, full hydro steering is done, driveshafts are built, custom fuel cell is built, gears, locker and spool installed, upgraded front stub shafts to 35 spline, rear seat and harnesses installed.  Getting closer.  Next week i build the exhaust, plumb the fuel and brake systems and hopefully start and drive it very soon.  Not sure if I have enough suspension travel though O0

also changed over to a flipped dana 300 transfer case with twin cable shifters

Interior / Interior update

Decided the carpet was starting to look a little crappy in the boat so I decided to replace it.  One thing led to another so now we are no longer doing carpet but fiberglassing the entire interior of the boat to look more modern, rebuilding the rear seat/sub box and a couple of other small things.  I know, wrong f'n time to start this, I should be at the lake not taking the boat apart.  Will update with more progress pics as they come,

FIXING THE ECONOMY – SHORT & SIMPLE!!!
 
There recently was an article in the  St. Petersburg Fl. Times. The Business Section asked readers for ideas on:  "How Would You Fix the Economy?"  I think this guy nailed it!
 
Dear Mr. President,
Please find below my suggestion for fixing America 's economy.  Instead of giving billions of dollars to companies that will squander the money on lavish parties and unearned bonuses, use the following plan. You can call it the "Patriotic Retirement Plan":
There are about 40 million people over 50 in the work force.  Pay them $1 million apiece severance for early retirement with the following stipulations:
1) They MUST retire.  Forty million job openings - Unemployment fixed...
2) They MUST buy a new American CAR.  Forty million cars ordered – Auto Industry fixed.
3) They MUST either buy a house or pay off their mortgage – Housing Crisis fixed.
It can't get any easier than that!!
P..S. If more money is needed, have all members in Congress pay their taxes....
Mr. President, while you're at it, make Congress retire on Social Security and Medicare. I'll bet both programs would be fixed pronto!

Engines / Engine Parts For Sale / 96 or newer bbc stock o/p needed

i have a buddy who is looking for a stock bbc oil pan for a 96 or newer block.  he bought the motor out of a boat but is rebuilding it for a truck so the larger (extra capacity) pan will not work.  He is hoping to maybe trade the larger pan for a stock one if he can.  if not send me a price and i will let him know.  the larger pan for trade looks like a stock pan that has been modified, looks like a decent job was done on it, he claims it was not leaking when he removed, i was going to take it for a future project, if he cannot trade it.  i will get pics by the end of the day.

finally got drawn for an elk tag, have waited 8yrs to go get one of these.   Got one tues morning up by the Grand Canyon with a muzzleloader.  We had been chasing elk since the Thurs before, hiking our arses off and passing on a couple smaller bulls.   Lets just say I am back to work but still on cloud nine ;D

Had to put getting a new project boat on hold for a while, my 3 1/2 yr old son decided he likes going on the "bumpy" roads and running a 1 ton dodge megacab down the trails just doesn't cut it, so i had to pick this up the other night... for him >:D

well the last couple weeks have been very hectic for me and my family, with the job situation and the longer hours, put my house for sale, i refuse to raise my kids in my current neighborhood, found a new house that we really really like, in a great area of town for less than my current house is costing me, we made an offer on it, to rent only for now, well our agent just called and they accepted the offer, so we move the first weekend in may ;D

what a weird last couple of days it has been for me, started by getting to work thurs morning, walking in and i notice the parts managers truck is not there, oh well, go ahead and go in, i am immediately greated by a co-worker telling me, rob quit (the manager), and three more people are loosing their jobs today, ok, holy shit, what the f is happening here, 9:15am, general manager, service director and hr lady are in the parts dept.  We need to have a meeting and discuss what is happening, all of us know what has already happened and what is supposed to happen, so its a tense little meeting.  An hour or so later the same three walk in and ask if i "have a minute", then ask the asst. manager to come along.  Ok time stands still at this point, now i have just dropped a load in my pants, what the f**k did i do to get my ass fired, i havent fought with anyone lately, i am on time, no problems.  So the mind starts racing, hell if they are going to fire me, i am going down in a blaze of glory, let them have it, rip every one apart, give the the whats for.......no, not the best move, lets see what is going on.  Ends up with the wholesale guy, tire guy, asst parts manager and myself in a meeting with the above three and the owner.  After about 30 min the owner follows with, by the end of the day, one of you four will be my new parts manager.   Time stands still again, holy shit you idiot, bet your glad you kept your mouth shut arent you (talking to myself),  each has an interview with the owner.   4:00pm  meeting with owner, general manager, service director and hr lady------congrats Bill, you are our new parts manager (another load enters the drawers).. so yesterday is a blur, show up today, first day as new manager and come to a very harsh reality,  the only person who knows how to do this job...quit yesterday, so now i am flying by the seat of my pants....please return trays to their upright positions, its gonna be a bumpy ride...............and the asst is not to happy right now, since i got promoted over him........sorry so long but holy shit i am exited/scared/freaked/drinking etc etc. ;D

thank you very much jet boat performance for the recent help with parts to get forkedup back together for the new owner, as always you were fast, accurate, helpful and great prices.  forkedup is back in the hands of the new owner, he is very happy, but he is getting ready to install deck cleats and a rub rail on the boat :banghead: :mad: :screwy:

had to have a buddy weld the transom adapter back together, not bad for being in three pieces

Jet Pumps / need some help please

ok, as you know forkedup has a new owner, the first time he took her out she broke :mad:  the diverter broke, i need help in finding a new/used transom adapter and the pivot part of the diverter (berkeley 12jg pump) everything else looks good, will need repainted but no damage, not sure what happened or why, i checked the pump and all pieces for signs of impact and nothing, but there is some major damage to it, i am helping him fix her because i feel bad this happened. any help in finding these pieces is greatly appreciated.  here are some pics of the damage

it was the unofficial classic boat regatta at bartlett lake this weekend, great weather, great people, and some nice boats.  thats my best friend carl in the white shirt, his is the skeeter i am using to take my son out in, had to bring him out and show him how the "other side" lives...........he is hooked and wants to build a go fast boat now ;D
