When girls don't put out!!


I never quite figured out why the sexual urge of men and women differ so much. And I never have figured out the whole Venus and Mars thing. I have never figured out why men think with their head and women with their heart.

FOR EXAMPLE:

One evening last week, my girlfriend and I were getting into bed.  Well, the passion starts to heat up, and she eventually says, 'I don't feel like it, I just want you to hold me.'

I said, 'WHAT??!! What was that?!'

So she says the words that every boyfriend on the planet dreads to hear...

'You're just not in touch with my emotional needs as a woman enough for me to satisfy your physical needs as a man.'

She responded to my puzzled look by saying, 'Can't you just love me for who I am and not what I do for you in the bedroom?'

Realizing that nothing was going to happen that night, I went to sleep.

The very next day I opted to take the day off of work to spend time with her. We went out to a nice lunch and then went shopping at a big, big unnamed department store. I walked around with her while she tried on several different very expensive outfits. She couldn't decide which one to take, so I told her we'd just buy them all. She wanted new shoes to compliment her new clothes, so I said, 'Lets get a pair for each outfit.'

We went on to the jewelry department where she picked out a pair of diamond earrings. Let me tell you... she was so excited. She must have thought I was one wave short of a shipwreck. I started to think she was testing me because she asked for a tennis bracelet when she doesn't even know how to play tennis.

I think I threw her for a loop when I said, 'That's fine, honey.' She was almost nearing sexual satisfaction from all of the excitement. Smiling with excited anticipation, she finally said, 'I think this is all dear, let's go to the cashier.'

I could hardly contain myself when I blurted out, 'No honey, I don't feel like it.'

Her face just went completely blank as her jaw dropped with a baffled, 'WHAT?'

I then said, 'Honey! I just want you to HOLD this stuff for a while. You're just not in touch with my financial needs as a man enough for me to satisfy your shopping needs as a woman.'

And just when she had this look like she was going to kill me, I added, 'Why can't you just love me for who I am and not for the things I buy you?'

Apparently I'm not having sex tonight either....but at least that b!tch knows I'm smarter than her.

This is a 1972 Ford 460 in excellant condition. Cylinders and crankshaft are all standard sized and all in excellant condition. All new gaskets, seals, and timing chain. All jet boat marine hardware is included. The Holley 600 carb needs to be rebuilt. $2,000. This is also listed on eBay starting at one penny with no reserve!

I put together my first 460. FYI, you want to put the timing chain cover on before you install the oil pan. Working with the 36 year old crap cast timing chain cover was a pain in the asss in general for me as well. Otherwise, real simple and easy to put together. Hopefully it runs and doesn't leak.

What else am I missing/forgetting?

  I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing... but I can tell you it's an old school way of doing things. Water cooled oil pan, has tubes running around the inside of the oil pan that are fed by the water pump (v-drive), looks like it took some time to make.

You can see where the cooling lines hook up at.

This oil pan has a huge AN oil plug on it, the hole is probably ? 3/4". I emptied about 3 1/2 gallons of water out the drain plug and that's all that came out. So I removed the oil pan and BAM at least 8 quarts of very old sludgey oil all over me, my tools, my hot rod, and my garage floor. Took me hours to clean it all up. When dissassembling an eninge that's been together for a long time stick a screwdriver or something into the oil pan's drain hole and break up the sludge that's sitting in there. 

So today I'm going to start working on the Southwind. It's got a 460 in it and the starter has been removed. I know that Olds and Chevy V8's use special starter bolts with knurls on the shank, do Ford 460's use special starter bolts and if they do what do they look like? Thanks.

A friend of mine asked me to post this up for him. An interior out of his Holmes jet boat. Probably a good fit for a mini day cruiser but may fit others as well. This has got to go it's taking up too much room in my backyard. Measurements will be posted later. The bottom cushions are starting to come apart, some more than others. Engine cover included. Nicks here and there. $100

I'm going to buy one of three cams, not sure which because i don't know what I'm looking at.    Originally I was going to have a cam designer/builder custom grind me a cam, but thats no longer an option ($$$). They're all really close to being the same... but a little different. Headers are dry SS. Looking for max HP, the lower in the RPM range the better.

Like I said, they're really close to being the same. Just wondering what numbers move the peak HP/torque lower in the RPM's.

I'm looking for some BBC tall valve covers that I thought would be easy to find but apparently not. Aluminum, tall, plain (no: fins/names/flames/designs/etc.), not intersted in the new type of sheetmetal/fabbed valve covers. With NO breather/oil fill holes. Thanks!
