Ok kids, it's that again, time for the annual Father's Day trip to Big River. Big River Inn is booked, so if you don't have a room there, you can try Motel 6 in Parker, the KOFA Inn, it's only a short drive to Big River & another year of SCJB shenanigans, don't miss it....

Events / Annual SCJB Fall Get Together
« on: August 16, 2011, 05:26:19 pm »
This year's dates are Friday 10/7/11 to Monday 10/10/11. In years past we've been at the Avi, and it's always worked out for us. Unfortunately they've got new management that's a pain in the ass. That being said, this year our host hotel is going to be the River Palms in Laughlin They were super accomodating to our needs, they've got great room rates and secure boat parking.

We can launch from a number of places but Big Bend State Park is the closest, and it's reasonably priced and we can go anywhere from there that we'd normally go

Room rates are as follows;

Friday 10/7/11-$42.99
Saturday 10/8/11-$42.99
Sunday 10/9/11-$17.99

There is the usual $50 charge to cover any damages, you don't get charged this unless you damage shit, so be good and save your $$$. They have rooms that take pets, they've waived the pet fee but not the deposit that you'll get back provided Fido doesn't eat the TV.

As soon as I have confirmation I will post up the group code. Reservations are on you, you have until 14 days before the event to make the reservation & get the rates.

See you in October

I'm big on principle, you treat others as you expect to be treated, your word is your bond. I recently went to work for a contractor that talked the talk, now it appears that it was all a dog & pony show. I have other work, its just not steady. Do I compromise my principle, call him on it, or tell him to go piss up a rope?

Comes with Dana Marine 4" polished S/S exhaust tips with internal S/S flappers. I changed my mind. Total cost for this shit new is $1350, I want $1000.

Ok, so I've read a few posts on different sites about E85. I see Romper Stomper is going this route with his setup. Does anyone have any information, either firsthand or that they've read that you care to share? Mind you I probably wouldn't do a conversion since there's not a fucking e85 place within 75 miles of my house. BUT, I want to know about it. Pros and cons.

The No Wake Zone / CP Performance
« on: July 21, 2010, 02:36:40 pm »
A couple of weeks ago CP posted up on RDP that if you PM your name and address to them, they'll ship you a catalog, free. I did this and I have to tell you, I'm very impressed with the catalog on more than one front. It's a nice layout, easy to navigate. Printed on nice heavy stock, not going to fall apart in a month. They have a HUGE selection of parts, from stock replacement to performance products, for just about any type of pleasure boat you can think of. Jet, Vdrive, I/O, you name it, they seem to have it.

The only downside  is that they didn't include a price sheet, not an issue if you're ordering something from home, you just look up the part on the website and there's the price.

All in all, very refreshing to know that I can pretty much do all my boat parts shopping in one place.  :thumbup:

Thanks Brad and CP Performance

I talked to the lady in group sales today, here's what she gave me so far;
