Jet Pumps / Eliminator Jet Drive
« on: January 12, 2011, 08:38:17 PM »
Just when you think you've seen them all... This is an "Eliminator" Jet Drive made in limited quantities and used in a handfull of river boats in the 60's /70's, Jet was apparently made in Lewiston Wahington and I was told today it was affectionatley called the "Spokane sewer pipe" sooooooooooo, This Poor Old Gent (customer) buys this boat in Idaho and hauls it back to Texas , cleans it up, freshens the Olds Engine and takes it to water a few weeks back Alas it wont get on plane now its here ;) ought to be a challenge ! This Baby was ahead of its day Three impellers and waaaaaay long "straight" snoot

Quote from Wacanda :The red and white boat featured above was built for and owned by my father from 1974 to 1994.  It was built in 1974 and was powered by a 350 cid Oldsmobile V-8 coupled to an Eliminator Jet Drive (built in Lewiston Idaho.) It had a custom made..... http://wacandaboats.webs.com/1960sandlatermodels.htm

« on: December 15, 2010, 07:18:19 PM »
This Silver and Gray Glastron CVX20 is literally the proverbial "Corvette in the Barn find " My wifes extended Family purchased this boat new in 1976 and the boat has never changed ownership Everything is original incuding the original 460 BBF and Berkeley "E" pump , With the exception of the Bimini Top (added a few years back) and an upgraded Tandem trailer . The boat is in good condition and lake ready The Deck Gel has lost its "Sparkle" and needs to be cleared, the interior is a little worn and faded . Covered and Carport stored since new at our Cabin I have personally maintained and Enjoyed this boat along with other family members for over 3 decades $8500.00 no trades More pics later today

The pic below is us uncovering it at R&R boat center Paso Robles in 1976 , Rhonda and I were fortunate enough to take the boat to Naciemento for the maiden voyage Good memories!  Tom

« on: January 25, 2010, 10:02:41 AM »
A customer just sent me this link to the carnage from the Auction very sad Tom
https://sites.google.com/a/allclassicsllc.com/www/home/2010-russo-and-steele-damages

"The Russo and Steele Collector Automobile Auction remained closed on Saturday as work crews continued to asses damage and clean up from high winds that destroyed two tents at the auction site in Scottsdale, Ariz., on Thursday night.

In a message posted on the Russo and Steele Web site, CEO Drew Alcazar said he would meet with consignors of the cars at the auction on Saturday morning. He added that the auction would remain closed on Saturday but that Russo and Steele would work to hold auction sessions on Sunday and Monday.

Alcazar said the auction site would not reopen to the public until it was approved by Scottsdale city officials.

During the storm on Thursday night, an 800-foot long tent broke loose from its anchors and blew onto a nearby freeway. Metal poles from the tent hit and damaged cars, while open-top cars at the auction received water damage from.......

Jet Pumps / Sanger SJ jet intake
« on: December 14, 2009, 09:32:25 PM »
Those of you who have never seen or experienced the "uniqueness" of the Sanger specific 12j Berkeley intake heres a little "tutorial" This intake is "hickyied" up thru the bottom of the boat versus "dropping" in from the top and  seals quite differntly The jet (which has its own special transom ring) comes forward to remove requiring engine removal ...

The No Wake Zone / Dog Bite
« on: November 17, 2009, 08:02:00 PM »
So here goes Guys : We moved our shop/store about three Months back to a different Industrial complex as most everyone knows . These Places have a kind of "life of thier own" to set the stage ... So today I'm strolling thru the parking lot to my mail box , when I see this rather large mangy ass dog coming towards me Although I'm a dog owner (big Golden ones) and I like dogs I have great respect for unknown dogs and try to be very carefull around them .... so I continue on to the box keeping an eye on him , all of a sudden the SOB dog struts up and bites me on the right arm thru my jacket ! I say WTF and pull my arms in close to my body Then he bites me on the back of a calf and my left hand (bruised but didn't break the skin ) by now I'm a little freaked & intimidated so I yell out to the shop where the mutt "belongs" . The Dog and shop owner comes out and takes the dog away to chain him up then comes back doesn't appologize and says "next time he does that just smack him" (the dog is around 90 lbs) I say I was looking for a board or ?? to do just that ! he says "oh I don't want you hitting my dog with a board" I'm thinkin "whats wrong with this picture ?? I'm supposed to wonder when and if this dog will bite me again (or one of my family or customers, huge liability issue) And heres this dumb ass making me feel bad that his dog (not supposed to be there anyhow) might be in danger from me ? this guy should be begging forgivness right now I say next time I'll call animal control he says "Oh so thats how you roll huh" Then to make matters worse he says "This is "XYZ industrial Park were a big family and you need to conform" (or something like that) ensenuating that we weren't part of the click yet? Here the point #1Business's and Dogs just don't mix IMO #2 Had this been me I would have been asking this guy if he was ok and appologizing up the gazzoo #3 When I called the Buildingsuper he says "Oh yeah that dog is a little rambunctious .........Any thought Folks ? Tom
