Update:.. Motor was run on stand and was as described. Perfect 140psi all around( on my crappy harbor freight gauge), idles at 20 psi on vac gauge without fluctuations, no misfires or problems. Sounds great runs great. Is now installed in boat for you to run.

Pipe dreams.... Same motor in my waay bigger,  heavier,  boat does 70 now ( on gps)with stock pump with alum A , and diverter... I'm sure this boat is at least 500lbs lighter. And a built berk with all the goodies..setback, detailed and blueprinted bowl, diverter, shoe, ride plate, inducer, stainless A/B cut, AQ shaft, loader, and possibly stuffer?...is 10 more mph too much to expect?
Plan to squeeze a 150-200 shot on the bottle.....

Hoping to get this float into the 80's with my 650hp stroker 496, and a built pump with stainless a/b cut.

Not in my opinion.

Given the information you just threw out there, it makes the most sense.

Do you need my shipping address for the AT?

Hahaha. ..

Thanks for all the replys! Been wracking my brain on this.  :banghead: when I called jack . I explained money ( to an extent) was not an issue.i also told him I have both pumps already and access to a dominator. He said he'd blueprint the JG . Boat already has shoe and ride plate, just got an AQ shaft, inducer, and will be ordering a stainless impeller. Pump is set back already so I have the deep transom shield. Didn't really want "plates" so sticking with a detailed berk bowl is probably my best solution. As I can't seem to find a deep transom shield to fit the dominator/AT bowl. Any reason not to do what jack says?

Same here .  :P  he told me to just build the berk with the AT shaft...thought the AT would be the choice??? ???

Put the call in to MPD.jack says. Berk housing better than the AT, JG bowl will be fine with work. AT shaft good to go but rather just get a new one.than tear into the AT pump,so building the berk pump. Will get stainless impeller, inducer, stage 2.5 build. With a loader grate and diverter.the  AT bowl is better when stock, he told me no need to change bowl even when I said I can get a dominater bowl,or swap to the AT bowl.AT pump is superior..when.stock.

Pump is the original At-309 from 1994. Intake in boat is a Berkeley. I am understanding both pumps will bolt to it. Stainless impeller already in the plan. I already have both pumps.

Here's the deal.. Just picked up a new hull. 21' open bow placecraft sport. Dropping my fresh built BOSTICK RACING 489( dynoed around 650hp 650tq) as soon as I get the new DCB interior done. All I will have left to do is the pump, rigging and stereo.( got the rigging and stereo covered). My deal is what to do with pump. What I have available are berk JG and an older(1994) American turbine pump.what should I go with??? Both pumps are stock and I have 2 place diverters.( one manual, one hydraulic). Have a budget of $4000 for just the pump.which will include: stainless impeller, inducer, powder coat, etc. let's hear what you guys would do...( may squeeze a lil NOS on her to bump the HP up to 850 at times..😎😉).....
