awesome. i have the same boat but it has a 532 ford in it and its an 84(its for sale too!). it ran good but its a heavy boat. after we set the pump back, put a shoe and rideplate on it,  it rode 1000 times better.

Went last night and was also disappointed. But I'm most confident that if someone wanted to come out with a nice new old school river boat there would be a market, or at least no competition.

i guess you missed the DCM display downstairs?? his jet version is in my future.

Lower River / Re: Blythe?

i couldn't imagine living in blythe full time...or even quartzsite or any of those small towns. maybe if i was 90yrs old and had nothing to do all day. if you like the river and going to the dunes, i guess it would be a good fit but even that gets old after awhile. oh, and the river there SUCKS  ;D

my jet sits waaaay lower than that in the back. i get swamped when ducks swim by  ;D

In this case , I'm gonna have to withdraw my complaint cuz I had a windshield replaced last summer on my black truck in a school parking lot and I didn't even want to be standing out there with him .  :o

Mama's Tahoe barely fits in the garage so I might end up goin that route as well. Where the hell does one get them little ass D.O.T tires too.

-beerjet-

do you mean dolly trailer?.....i was talking about a trailer dolly...one of these.......on a dolly trailer, they look like golf cart tires

I have a tandem waiting for my Rogers.   ;)
the one thing that sucks is it is alot harder to move the double axle trailer around in my garage by myself....i'm thinking i need to invest in a trailer dolly

The No Wake Zone / Re: Wanted, A Triple Axel Trailer
« on: May 05, 2007, 05:24:28 PM »
i just went from a single axle to a double axle trailer and the difference is HUGE.....not that i never had any problems with the single but now i have more peace of mind towing long distances..........my parents boat has a triple axle trailer and that thing tows like a dream

The No Wake Zone / Re: wake board tower
« on: May 05, 2007, 05:20:30 PM »
Holy crap that sounds like a lot of fun!   :o
oh it is, mainly cause you don't have to go that fast to keep it up in the air since it's being pulled from the tower ;D........but pick up the pace and that thing soars :o

The No Wake Zone / Re: wake board tower
« on: May 04, 2007, 04:49:41 PM »
Spare the boat the trauma of having to tote around a dunce bar (as oposed to a dunce hat) and just buy a real ski boat.  :D

-beerjet-

dunce bar......lmao....gonna have to use that one ;)

dude, since it's free why not and like you said just put it on when your going just to ski/wakeboard........also kite tubes are really fun when you pull it from the tower.....if you keep the speeds down it usually just hovers at about the tower height consistently
 :)

The No Wake Zone / Re: wake board tower
« on: May 03, 2007, 06:58:09 PM »
Putting all the razzing aside for a minute, I have a serious question ...
Since I'm a skier who's never wake boarded, I know nothing about wake boarding.
Isn't the height of the tower mainly for jumping? Meaning, can't you wake board just fine with the regular towing ring unless you want to catch big air?

I'd opt for a pole to get a little more height before I put a tower on a boat like that.

it is definately easier to be pulled out of the water on a wakeboard with a tower......i know guys that wakeboard the same from either a tower or the regular old ski tow....once your that good it shouldn't really matter
