Right on brother!

That carburetor is going to be a little bit of a challenge to dial in... Not impossible, just a little frustrating.

Great job.. Run OK other than the lean pop?

GT
it did ....just the pop and bogging down b.s...thx GT

Are your old rods totally trashed to where you couldn't get weights off of them?  They will probably be pretty close, but could also be way off.   I would at least see if the piston/rod assembly, in the event of pressed pins, were close.  Could pick up a cheap digital postal scale.  Just a suggestion.

Cheers,

Joe
well i gave them both to lj speed shop in napa to get some that will work soooo hopefully they did all..i gave them my old 2 so they could match them up...hopefully they thought about all that..i cuz i sure as hell didnt..  thanks for info ..next time i kno wat to do...im already half way done now.  Keep u guys posted.

I was in Darwin Australia on westpac with the 15th MEU. In a bar drinking beers when the lights came on and the announcement was made. Talk about one  mad drunken dash back to the ships.

Wow! Some really cool stories.. Thank you guys so much for your service and keeping us safe. My story is not near as cool or as brave. I was living in Azusa and working for a hazmat company driving a tanker my load for the day was in down town Los Angeles. On my way to work I heard about it on the radio (Howard Stern) so I went to the nearest Wal-Mart picked up a cigarette lighter powered TV so I could put on the passenger seat and watch the news while driving. Next Stop was Lowes in Covina. I Picked up the biggest American flag they had and a role of Duct tape. I taped the shit out of that flag pole to my air line pogo stick and bungee corded it to the back of the cab. The horn honking and fist pumping was non stop all day and for at least a couple weeks after.
FUUUUK YEA!!!" SICK
