Yeah i agree on the simple starts. Is there a guide on how to compression test a motor. He recently replaced the intake manifold gasket as well and I?m thinking that may be another spot to look at to make sure it?s all sealed there

Helping a buddy out next weekend and any help is appreciated on where to start.
It?s a 460 that ran super hot ~210ish when coming down the river last summer. Figured out there was a clogged water line. Then went to run it this summer and had water in the oil. Enough to where he has to do an oil change after each trip. Any suggestions on where to start? Is changing the head gaskets as simple as just pulling off the heads and placing a new gasket on?

Just good for thought, what you?re looking for are called cocktail seats and typically built with plywood. However you can get fiberglass seat shells made not sure if they can do cocktails like this. But the rear bench and two front seats upholstered were about 2500 (few years ago now can?t remember exactly) and will last a lot longer than wood.

Amongst many things this winter, interior is also on my list for the Carrera. I'm having trouble locking down where to find a decent set of buckets and rear bench.

This winter I'm going to be putting some work into the float and I'm looking for a fresh 454 to drop in. Anyone have any recommendations for a builder? Or is it easy enough to find a crate engine in the 5 to 7k price range that will do the job. Putting it into a Carrera eclipse in the pic below.
