Hey I thought that the water level was good around 8:00 or 9:00? my hang out is lower river fishers and hidden shores it gets pretty shallow there too but dont have any rocks to worry about sound like I may need to follow someone???

ok guys update: well looks like I need a low profile elite model so if by chance someone out there has one used in good condition hit me up!

Thanks brad I was just on the phone with tom at jbp. I saw on forums that ralph is running into issues with his hitting the swim step so I think im gonna have to go with the low profile elite model there goes $800 bucks! I was hoping I could convert a standard PD to low profile but tom sais its not worth it its too expensive  just gonna suck it up and buy a new one I think .

Ok heres the low down
1. started with a bucket of water washed the boat well with some meguires car wash
2. fresh pail of water with a little dawn liquid soap and started wet sanding with 1000 grit for first cut, as your rubbing boat water gets milky but you can feel the paper working at first it is a little sticky and ruff but as you work paper you can feel the finish smooth out. I continued the same way with the rest of the boat.
3. fresh pail of water some more dawn and performed same steps with 2000 grit. paper feels the same i kept working till i got same smooth consistency over the whole boat.
4. washed the boat completely down with meguires car wash again.
5. spent some money here, went to harbor frieght and bought a variable speed buffer actually a really good deal 37 bucks and it comes as a kit with some wool pads and terry cloth pads I ended up spending about 75 bucks cause i purchased some extra wool pads and a pack of terry clth towels.
Ok next step and I think it was the best I used a finishing compound made by 3M called "finesse it" its designed as a fine rubbing compound for removing swirls in high end paints it definetly did the trick on the boat you can get it at most detail supply houses.
Started out with a wool pad at lower speeds to apply and would slowly increase speed to buff out it worked terrific.
6. After completely buffing boat washed again with meguires car wash and dried.
7. last but not least I used a cleaner wax from west marine i was gonna use meguires but i heard that there house brand works really well so i gave it a try im happy with the outcome used the buffer in the same fashion as the finish compound for application only i buffed by hand with terry cloth towels and thats about it hope this helps
