Does anyone have RiverGuy's contact info?  I haven't heard back from posts or PM's and will be in SoCal this weekend looking at boats.  Would love to set it up with him to see this one.

Thanks for any help or info regarding this.

Yo yo yo everyone!  Baja's back on.  Looking at the feeds on this post since I had seen it last gave me a good laugh.  Also an appreciation for the well wishes, concern and camaraderie that's obvious in this little forum community here.

So I'm boatless but in the market for a nicely built 18' semi V...  Who's got the hot lines on what's out there?  Seems like the market is slim right now and that values are up from a few years back.

For all who are curious...  Court several years ago actually went surprisingly well.  I was fortunate to spend only a short time down and have been living well since then.  Aside from a nasty parting ways with the old lady, selling of the old Southwind and being out of the jet scene for a few years, things are otherwise FANTASTIC!

Have a place these days on the water at Snug Harbor in the delta and welcome anyone in my area to hit me up if they're going to be coming to this area.

Happy New Year to all and I look forward to getting back into the scene.  O0

Definitely.  I think you, Nordie and Chromey need to go and give us a preliminary report.  It could be like a "re-bachelor" party.   ;D

Not quite sure, I had a free pass but misplaced it.  All I know is when the new one opens (which is attached to the existing) it is going to be the largest strip club in Vegas, complete with 10 full bars and a bank of hot tubs on the roof.  Sounds pretty good to me, I'd help you find it but don't have much time.

Thanks Brad.

P.S. - I have a friend who moved to Vegas yesterday.  Going to be a bartender at the "Hustler Ultra Lounge", the old one for now and the new one when it opens next month.  Any of you Vegas boys out there, go introduce yourself, tell her Kenny sent you and she'll hook you up.  Her name is Sara.

Hey fellas, Well, I have court in two hours.   :banghead:  There's a good chance I might be missing the next four months (or so) of this boating season.   :banghead:  Wish me luck!

Yeah, basically I just feel like banging my head against a wall...

Was a big earthquake to be started from 20 miles deep.  I have reports that they felt it as far south as San Felipe but unsure of damage reports as of yet.  I have family down there another 50 miles south of San Felipe but with no telephone access...

Got it, centered just south of Mexicali in Guadalupe Victoria.

What part of Mexico?  Guess I could just look it up.

Trailers / Re: Gotta couple ideas for trailers.
« on: April 04, 2010, 04:23:12 pm »
This sounds like a good idea, Glenn...  Anxious to see what the final result is.  Surely you would have many interested buyers just on this site alone.  and...  like Roy said...

I know I hate putting the boat on the trailer when we go out on the Sac river near the airport.  Also the reason I will never launch at B & W in the Delta, instead I go the extra few miles to Orwood's.  Also all the So cal peeps with the Colorado.

Go for it!  I'm in!

WarZone / Re: Trade kitchen for boat?

Oh, I see.  I know everyone's been showing Bob, "Bob style" boats but did not know it was all about a joke.  Thanks for clarifying, Josh.

I, on the other hand, was being totally serious in wishing this guy was looking for kitchen work in trade for that boat...  Guess it couldn't hurt to call...

Did I miss the part in the ad where he mentions he'll trade for kitchen work?  This is a hell of a boat, it's actually located in the Bay Area/Napa Valley area (close to me) and I do kitchens...  Hmmm....

Hope someone on here picks this thing up, would love to see it in action!

I imagine the jetOvator will bolt right up to a 12jg?  What are the pros and cons of a jetOvator vs. a place diverter?  How easy is the jetOvator to install?  I'd like to make a rooster tail and have adjustable trim for not much $$...  This seems like a good option, no?  Thanks for your help, Tom.  ~Ken~

I've been eyeballing this SWEET Barry Grant TBI setup out of curiosity but it's not big enough CFM for me.  Probably just right for a nice small block though.  Wonder what folks like Glen, Tom and others think of this...   ???

MMMM.....  TBI....  I've been wanting to go this route for some time now.  Just learned that Sanger Pete has one that he could be persuaded to sell....  Me likey...

Projects / Re: project "Sanger clean up"
« on: April 03, 2010, 01:57:19 pm »
All of these old Sangers popping up are making me envious, love the style of the old Sangers.

Nice job, Underground of jumping in head first and really getting to know your boat inside and out.

Welcome to the site, also.  Most everyone here has excellent advice to offer based on their own personal experiences.  Boost is a great person to listen to and use as an example, as I'm sure you could tell by his hardware.  Good luck in the clean up and on a successful boating season!

<<<----hook, line and sinkered!

Very well done, Brad!  You got me flippin' out all day.  But I think when we came home from the bars last night and found the site non accessible, it hit my ol' lady harder than it did me.   :screwy:

Glad to see SCJB is not going anywhere, obviously it means a lot to many of us.

What's this about APRIL FOOLS??  Is it really possible that BRAD would do that to all of us?  What did we do to deserve this kind of punishment?

I wonder if this post about all this being an APRIL FOOLS JOKE will be edited out, too.  How strange...

At least the talk about it is leaving us all hope...

Wow, this is shocking!  Just when I thought life couldn't throw any more curve balls my way, this is like stepping on a landmine with both feet at one time.

I'm sad, mad, frustrated and dumbfounded.  As I'm sure Brad is along with many other people here.

This has been an excellent place to use and build my knowledge of jet boats as I'm still a newbie in the hobby.  It has been a great place to meet people with similar interests and brings us all together at one spot in this ever growing world and declining economy where people don't want to come out of their own homes...  Overall it has plain and simply, been a resource none of us want to lose.

I wish there was a way to download ALL of the forums and information in them to my computer.  Sometimes I would spend hours just reading through old threads and expanding my jet boat knowledge as big as my pee brain would allow me to.  As Brad said he only started this site to document the restoration of the project Wreidt Stinger....    Well I just frickin saw that thread for the first time this week and am anxious to know how it turns out, damnit!!!

Ray had a good idea with the emergency, "What's your email and phone number" thread.   Could also ad to that list a, "what's your screen name on sister sites" thread.  Wierd how also just this week, I stumbled upon which I actually do live in Northern Cali.  But that site has no chance of living up to this one's reputation, there's simply not enough jet boaters up here.

Brad, good work on building an empire in our little boating community.  Your hard work and dedication to this site and the people who use it will not go un-recognized.  If there's anything at all we can do to help, shout it out.  Thank you for everything here and to all you good folks who lent their time, listening ear, or stumbling fingers on the keyboard to help others (like myself) understand issues they'd been having with their boats.

I could go on and on... but feel like I already have...  I also feel like I'm losing it and am having anxiety from knowing I'm going to have to remove this site from my favorite's list.

Good luck and god bless to all,

Ken Hunter
