Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Re: Half lean half rich🤔

Seen a T-shirt below a blower on a boat before. Couldn't get it to run right after the new motor.

Any chance you're missing a T-shirt?

🤣😂🤣😂🤣. Nope. No missing clothing

Freight train. Such a pain in the ass when I trying to dial in the jets a few years ago.

After 3500 rpm, I'd imagine something blocking the metering plate (4160) or one of the secondary jets clogged (4150)
I suppose primaries could have the same result.

Sorry I forgot to mention that it?s a tunnel ram with 660 Center squirters  and both carbs were just completely rebuilt. We disassembled them and had them in the sonic tank just hours before we took it out.

Quadrajet, metering rods and jets, for the secondaries?

Edelbrock there's some filters that look like socks, one of them plugged up?

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Half lean half rich🤔
« on: June 28, 2024, 10:28:24 PM »
So I took the boat out today and after running around for 30 min we pulled plugs to see why I was getting a weird misfire bobble after 3500rpms. (Installed new plugs day before). Well we noticed that one bank was rich one the other bank was lean. I have never seen anything like this before with carbs. Any ideas?

Hulls / 22 ft horizon

I have searched all over the internet and there is little to no information on horizon boats. Other than they are odd ducks, and Dave Holmes started the company. But I have yet to see and other day cruiser or mini day cruisers like the one I have. I am just trying to get some paint/ interior ideas. I am going to take it back apart this winter and have it painted and re do the interior.

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Imco powerflow
« on: March 22, 2020, 11:11:53 AM »
I am planning to drop the engine in my boat later this afternoon an was just thinking about the water routing. I have imco powerflow’s and wanted to pre heat the water prior to entering the block, problem I see is the lack of bungs/ports. Is it a real necessity to pre heat the water? I am now thinking of running the water in through the water pump ports. Out the t stat housing and into the bottom of the exhaust manifold. Would this be correct ? Thanks in advance for any tips.

Jet Pumps / Re: Energizer?
« on: September 20, 2019, 08:30:07 PM »
Thanks for the info. My main concern was/is what parts to buy. I would like to install new gaskets and wear ring before taking it out. Correct me if I am wrong but if it is energized the standard jacuzzi parts are no longer the same?

Jet Pumps / Energizer?
« on: September 20, 2019, 01:09:15 PM »
Hello all I am new to the forum. Sorry for my naive question here but I googled the shit out of this and can’t find any definitive answers. I picked up a new boat and it has a jacuzzi wj pump. I was told recently that it has an energizer on it, I’m not too sure about it tho. Every other boat we have owned has had a berk,so this is kinda new to me. Any help clearing this up from you guys would be appreciated. Attached is a couple pics I took before the boat went in for paint.
