++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Alright Guys, anyone looking for an open bow jet? I have found another boat I want for next season so Im letting my baby go. She is clean and the most reliable boat I have ever owned. Here are the details:

1986 Crusader 21' (Carrera Splash)
Timeless Colors
Upholstery Great
454 Hardin Marine Motor, New Plugs, New Wires, New Cap, Runs amazing
New Carb
New Alternator
Berkeley Pump 12JC, Recently Rebuilt
Place Diverter, Manual
Huge Fosgate System, 2 10?s, 2 Amps, 6x9?s, Bass Control Knob (It pounds harder then the big boats)
Ipod Ready
Dual Batteries, Group 27
On Board Charger, Dual Smart Computer
New White 4 Spoke Wheel, Polished
Blue Anodized Hardware
Blue Cover
Great Bimini with Boot
New Fully Auto Bilge Pump
Always Stored Indoors

Does have a few spider cracks from a boat its age, but nothing major. It is 27 years old
Trailer is good, never an issue. Could use a paint job if you want to make it perfect but never bothered me. Tires are good.

I know im missing a ton of other stuff, but check it out.

$9,000 OBO price. I have been looking around and alot of junk out there for more money. I want this boat to go to someone who will keep loving her.

Any questions please PM or text. Chris 562-307-six six f0ur zero

Had an awesome time also guys! Nice meeting everyone .Thanks Mike and Mike Jr. for the help with the oil filter. Freakin Oil Change from Hell!

Sorry we didnt make it back on Sunday evening, while towing back to Havasu thru Golden Shores the Alternator took a crap on my Blazer! So I got to deal with that mess.  But all in all the weekend was a great time.  8)

Hey Guys,

Posting this for my nieghbor. Its a 1978 Tahiti that just came out of OC Boat Works. They filled in the Panther Pump hole and re-did the transom. Also the deck was re done to remove the metal flake. Still needs a little finish work though. What you see is what you get with Interior, parts etc. It has a TiteLite Tandem Axle trailer. CLean titles on both. He is asking $1000, but obviously open to all offers. Give him a jingle if interested. His name is Ian, 562-810-9551. He is new to the jet boat world.

Thats not a jet boat

Yup, and that boat would already be on my radar anyways ;D I keep real clear of any resemblance to the family boat setup. Especially this one here!

That is a marriage that isn't gonna last long.   No trust and no respect from the bride, and no expectation of respect from the groom.   Perfect.

Hence why I am still single. The day a female tells me I cant go to Vegas is the day I buy a boat with a prop!

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Re: Gages? Auto or marine?
« on: June 24, 2010, 04:59:42 PM »
I have always used standard gauges, along with standard stereo equipment. Never a problem

15
I myself use both, the electric keeps the prime up, no start troubles.

Did you plumb it like I was thinking in my original post SS? Also do you keep it on all the time?

Chris

16
GT, are the outlets of fuel pumps normally 1/4" NPT or 3/8" NPT?

Chris

17
Thanks GT, I will give that valve a try and see if it doesnt help the issue, and then I will know I need a new manual pump. The boat runs great once started and easy to start all weekend. Just is a pain once she has been sitting out there in the heat and the first start of the weekend.

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Using Electric and Mechanical Pump
« on: June 23, 2010, 04:24:01 PM »
Hey Guys,

If I leave my boat for longer than a few weeks at the river, when I get back to use it, it take a good 3-4min of cranking to get fuel back into my carb. Its only started doing this since it warmed up for summer. So my question is, can I hook up an electrical fuel pump on a dash switch to "help" my mechanical pump on start up times to pressurize the system? Its  a 454 Hardin Stock Motor in my 21' Open Bow. Should I keep the pump to always on, or just use it to start it? So I would plumb it from my T-Valve, to my new electrical pump, to my mechanical, and out to my carb. Any ideas or suggestions on this? Thanks!

Chris

i want to hit the lakes a little more and i am sick of running out of gas in my boat. i swear i only get maybe half hour of drive time if my boat is completly full of gas. if i had a prop i could rock all day.

I am pretty sure none of us own jet bioats for the MPG.  O0 Thats for sure. I think of it more as a sickness. Most don't understand it. Some try. But for us that have it in our bloods, its there to stay!

I had a panther on my 1986 Eagle 18' and the thing was bulletproof. I loved how easy it was to work on etc. etc. Never leaked a drop and just kept going no matter what. Also it seemed to not get as fouled as my Berks with Moabi weeds and Avi Vegetation. I dont knock them and it served me well.
