Nice looking boat!!! Honestly like someone mentioned just get a different impeller, finish up all the odds and ends, drop in your engine as is and get your a$$ on the water. Shelf the good impeller for now and enjoy. Spend, no pun intended, the winter thinking about how much you want to spend and how far you want to go with it. Looks like you have enough to keep you busy for now. Im sure a stocker type impeller could be found for peanuts compared to building your whole engine around the pump.

Pass? Even if something is free the money to make something go could be crazy money and labor. We don't know anything about the engine compression and leak down or even if its water tight. Unless your mechanically able to do it all, it could get ya. I didn't notice your location and you got ask yourself is it possible the engine could of froze and cracked block and/or heads.  Sitting since 2005 where outside? Is the wood framing/floor soft? I'd be cautious of it thats all. Very cautious.

My before and after pics. Used the epoxy paint. Cleaned everything with thinner and went to town. Epoxy paint is slow to dry but very strong. I sanded with those 3m fiber pads. Very happy with it.

Interesting...car temp same at 1:00pm. BUT...I checked one of my service trucks that's been sitting all day and its hood measured 130*F at its hottest spot.
NOTE to self: never buy boat with black anything.
Wish I had a sheet of aluminum that was natural, polished and one painted white-to see how different temps would be. My guess is polished would be hottest. Just thinking of fuel temps on boat from sitting on lake all afternoon. Cooler fuel is denser so....hmm
Kudos to previous owner of my boat for installing white seats and white steering wheel.
