Try to push the accelerator pump down 1 or 2 times then fire it up ,
It might have a bad accelerator pump diafram

There's a dump of temescal canyon and the 15 fwy, I took a hull 19' cheetah there about 3years ago and it cost $ 65.00 it might be worth it to put a ad on craigslist free hull with aluminum gas tanks and hopefully mentone dan grabs it up and let him deal with it

Depending on your cam. Fords are notorious for sucking water out of the headers with the overlap of the big ford cams I run a 666 lift custom ground cam and use a ball valve and jet inserts on my header water lines and that fixed my problem. Also remember that the BB fords do not take Kindly to high water pressure and leak water into the oil via timing cover . Ideal water pressure on a ford is around 14psi

I twist my BBF all day long @ 7000 to 7200 rpm , c8ve heads ported polished flat top pistons , tunnel ram with 2 , 550's and a custom ground roller camshaft total seal rings (file fit) berk jg with s.s a impellar and I got  probably around 5 to 550hp , it's a chemistry that was passed down from a old time ford builder and it works also I got 172# compression in each cylinder give or take 2#'s per cylinder.

I launch at the road runner 32500 riverside drive , just north of west marina not busy at all and it's a great place to test and tune and if you got a problem most of the time you can tune it right on the ramp.
