Fabrication / Re: sand spike anchor

no not selling them these were just for me and my dad. If I was to sell them I'd do a better job on them lol. I guess I could see what material would cost and see if it would be a worthwhile venture.

Fabrication / sand spike anchor
« on: May 20, 2014, 05:48:31 pm »
threw a couple sand spikes together today.
Hole sawed 4 2" circles out of 1/4" plate
Opened the hole up to fit the round bar.
Welded a bead around the top of the round bar to keep the 1.5" tube handle from coming off.
Welded all the pieces together
did a quick shitty paint job on them
I did these with super loose tolerances. About 10 years ago I made one completely out of stainless and capped the top. It didn't work for shit cause the tolerances were too tight

just take a left at Bobby-d's diner...should be the first light past blue water casino...take a scenic drive next to the river....
Gord if you're coming from havasu make a right at the golf course, then another right and it's up on the left past la Paz park. There's a blue sign with orange and yellow letters. Kinda hidden by some trailers. Roadrunner for breakfast, be there about 9:00

Jet Pumps / Re: blow off valve
« on: July 27, 2013, 07:15:50 am »
First off its a bypass valve. A blow off valve goes on a turbo. What a lot of guys do is run extra dump lines or bigger dump lines. If you have 2 in lines, and 2 out lines that are bigger in diameter than the in's you can't over pressure. Ya follow?
And hook that gate valve back up.

Cool boat. Try to go with the lightest setup and rigging that you possibly can. I.e. aluminum heads. The SWTD's need some power to run and can be sensitive to weight distribution. Don't cut the pod down.

1911s are tough from what I hear. Well, not as tough with cnc. The ak had a Virgin barrel, had to make the receiver, and did a couple other things to be Cali legal. It cost about 600 to do.
I've got about 800 into my AR.
Next build is a few 10-22's.
80% receivers from tactical machining if the hysteria dies down.

I got a lower, assembled upper, then a magpul lower parts kit. Assembled it in about 15 minutes on my coffee table while watching YouTube vids as a guide. It's not a build... It's assembling. If you wanna build something do an AK!

My recommendation for flavors is just stick with one for the first few days, as your smell and taste return, go to the shop and try flavors. My taste changed and I was left with flavors that don't taste good anymore. Right now I really like all the spacejam flavors but my original favorite was villian vapors pair of deuces. It's melon and pear

Pat, I was having issues with my tank and carto. The clearomizer seemed to hit harder. Now I take long slow drags on the tank and it tastes better, carto lasts longer, and hits way harder than the clearomizer. Shouldn't have to prime it at all besides the first prime.

Yeah I'm fairly addicted to vaping as well. 12mg nicotine is now starting to give me hiccups, that's when I know it's time to drop down another level. Still smoke free, still smelling and tasting new things, best thing I ever did.

Pat you gotta prime the atomizers or they'll burn. Clearomizers hit harder. Get more in your throat.  I've purchased mine in the stores all over OC. Some places are ridiculously expensive so shop around. The tank on mine pictured was 6 bucks, the tip was 5, battery was 17. So pretty cheap

I was pack and a half a day of reds minimum. On a 4 day weekend at the river I'd go through a carton. Don't miss it. Hanging out with a bunch of smokers I just happily puff on my vape. Everyone asks about it and wants to try it. Between smoking my lungs out, the dry desert air, and sleeping in the AC I wouldn't get my voice back until bout Wednesday. Now I just feel great.

I'm quitting for my kid that's on the way, cold turkey don't work for me. Good part about this is that I've already lowered my nicotine, I get my hand to mouth fix, and it's actually good. Cold turkey didn't work for me when I'm drunk at the river hangin around chain smokers

You don't?

To clarify, the over the counter e-cigs F me up. Using a vaporizer is much more enjoyable and effective. Have also made it through 2 river trips without smoking. It's really nice to be able to taste food, smell your farts, and sleep through the night. Today is my 20th day and I couldn't be happier. Proud of ya pat, keep it up.
