have noticed that generally people don't have any respect for other peoples machinery and shit happens.

Big 10 4.  Thats when they will bring it back and say "Man there's something wrong with this thing" followed by "Well, thanks, I gotta get to the house, call me when you are going to take it out again"

Yeah, then you get that knot in the pit of your stomach when you hear a rod knock and the desire to kick the poop out of your soon to be ex buddy. LoL

I don't let people drive my boat unless I am in some state of emergency and cannot drive it myself.  I taught my wife how to drive it but she's family and I need a way to ski.  I have noticed that generally people don't have any respect for other peoples machinery and shit happens.

I may be a little biased as I sold my bike last year to buy my boat......... I've been riding for a very long time and came to the conclusion that riding isn't as safe as it used to be...... people in cars have way more going on now than they did 25 years ago...... cd players, cell phones, texting..... hell I once came up on a guy in a Lexus with a laptop computer open in front of his steering wheel. I also drive an 18-wheeler and can't tell you the countless times iv'e seen people on the freeway with books or even the sports page open on the wheel while going 65mph. This was a very personal choice. There are times that I still wish I had one but I think the cons outweighed the pros...... at least for me.
Good luck with your choice,

Danny

Thats the exact same reason I sold my bike.  I had already been hit and after I got over the jitters from that accident people kept trying to hit me! Road rash is a bitch, not to mention if you think two broken legs hurt.....  Sell the pre runner and get your boat runnin. :)

Cool deal man. Those ole superjets are badass.  I have an old 550 and they are a lot of fun to ride on.  If its in good condition you could probably fetch 1800, but I don't know how the stand up market is.

haha yeah Rialto does have some dumpy neighborhoods. I live in N. Rialto off of the 210 freeway north of highland so I am in the good part of town.  If serious about bringing it out, we can work on it and we can get it up and running.  PM me for directions or my phone number.  As for credentials,  I've only done one boat, mine, and that was patch work for my harness.  But I have been a stereo installer since I was 17 so Im comfortable around tracing, trouble shooting, and completing wiring probs.  Whatever you decide bro is cool with me. :)

Id offer you some free help but I am in Rialto, thats a drive to long beach. Come out here and we can spend the day hooking that shit up boss. You gonna use a pre made harness or go from scratch?  Or extend what you got?

Maybe with the soft boat market it will be reduced in price to somewhere around 20 mil? Thats a 4 million dollar savings!!!!!!  And with the loop hole our Governator left open, you just gotta leave it outta state for 90 days and you don't have to pay sales tax in CA

Just a thought when plugging holes I was told to mix in some cabosill in with the resin so it fills in the cracks n such.  Cabosill (sp????)  Thickens up the resin so it is easier to shape, and stays in the hole better. It makes the resin the constancy of peanut butter depending on how much you mix in.
