I saw someone else asking about it also. Same stamp same place. I read all about the Mopar thing. Think it was someone at factory along assembly line?

Ok this is the plan.
Since the block was real rusty and I think the bearings were out when he cleaned in in his machine. Thinking it might of been a contributing factor. So I'm going to try a light hone job on journals with a bead hone coupled with polishing the cam. Hopefully that will do it otherwise wise machining it for needle bearings. Not giving up the beast will run one way or another!!

It's taken me two years since I lost Rhonda to get enough enthusiasm to build this motor and to have this machinist not to have checked this before he returned the block is a bit of a set back. I had the crank in and one piston was about to do some clearance checks and degree the cam. Idk if this thing is meant to be. I'm going to have Barry (obnoxious) from another site take a look at it since he's just down the road in Parker. If it's not fixable might be the straw that breaks the camels back. I've all this shit sitting around for two years and got all the parts to replace the Chinese crap the previous owner had lied about. Thought I was on my way now this. Oh well just rambling now. Thanks for all the help I'll let you all know what I find.

Machinist says they are out of round like a bearing has previously spun

Tried all of the above it seems to be crushing the bearing too much. I've never had this block running before bought

496big block Chevy new build too much crush on Cam bearings so cam won't go past the number two and three journals. Ready to pull my hair out if I had any. Machinist has no answer or solutions. Has anyone ever had a similar problem. Already have a ton of money in machine work in this block. Isn't the cam or wrong bearings in wrong journals

Better spray some Extend or Ospho or something in there. That fugger will rust right in front of your eyes.
Oh ya I did.
