The No Wake Zone / Fuel Whore!!!
« on: August 07, 2013, 07:49:43 PM »
I've turned into a fuel whore since getting the boat. Luckily I live in Havasu so my biggest concern for boating is fuel. So far I quit smoking and using that money towards fuel. Any suggestions?

Lake Havasu / Re: Best part of Havasu for jets?
« on: August 07, 2013, 07:44:40 PM »
My fuel range is from Windser to sand bar. That's my closest shot to the river. Otherwise I hit the hwy to pirates and launch there.  Still only a 30 mile drive from home so I can't complain.

Temp runs right at 180 when idling with dual dumps on a regulator

Dry headers and the can is big I think about 1100 gonna be my min. As far as speed I think I'll have to do the fwd rev shuffle. Thanks for the info.

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / 495 sounds like a misfire at 4000 rpm
« on: August 04, 2013, 10:12:14 PM »
If I cruise my boat at 4000rpm or 3500 rpm it sounds like its misfiring. If I run it up to 4500 seems to go away. Could it be just coming into the cam or do I have a different issue? The cam is a 772" lift don't know duration.  Could it be spark scatter or fuel pressure? Dual quad 750 quick fuels. Areromotive elecric pump with built in regulator. If I run at 45rpm seems to clear up. Timing locked at 32 deg. Pump pressure 7 psi but drops at hard a a acceleration max rpm is 6800 with a c impeller.  Any suggestions?

I used to work on em when they first came out had all kinds of injector problems. But GM got that all figured out their a good piece now. Amazing the HP and torque with just a programmer.
