Hay guys I would like to hit the river. I can't make the Avi trip due to work. But I'm a newbie to SCJB and would like to attend a gathering. Blythe is not to bad of a drive from Elsinore. Is the Rivera a camp spot? How would a new guy find this place.

You want a set of harden marine logs. There going to be cheaper then a set of water injected headers and definitely cheaper then a set of water jacketed headers. The trick is finding them for a small block seeing how most JetBoats run big blocks. I have a set of BBC logs with the snails that I would sell.
But on a budget that's going to be your best bet and easy to setup.

It's not in Phoenix but in Tucson, AZ pro fiberglass does good work at a fair price. I had my 1983 cp light rebuilt there after a mishap with a rail. They repaired the hull, re glassed my tanks in, re did my floor, and fixed all my gel coat cracks and redid the bottom.

I'm glad to have read this because I too was thinking of having my headers done. Guess I'll just keep sporting my cooked headers and keep that nasty hotrod look. I run mine wet and dry and on the rich side. My carb is a little big for my cam and heads. So one thing at a time. 830 on stock cam and peanut heads.

Stock Idmar Marine 454 BBC, Vector Jr O intake with Holley 830, Bassett twist. Dooley Enterprises marine oil pan
SS intake, shoe-in ride plate, 12JG-a Berkeley droop, and place diverter nozzle.
Light layup hull.
