The No Wake Zone / Angybody ever have to bail a dog out????
« on: June 12, 2011, 07:45:23 AM »
I'm thinking its gonna come to that........I was chatting with my mom on Skype out on the patio earlier this morning, and she asked "what are the dogs after"  Apparently, she saw them trying to basically cut down one of my smaller orange trees through the reflection in the patio door..........

Bear in mind these are "grand champion" bred bird dogs that cant find a bird even if it left a forwarding address........

According to my neighbor, these are Cactus Wren eggs........not Pidgeon or dove as I assumed..........Soooo the dogs could be"arrested" as could I as their owner for messing with them.........

GREAT! Now my backyard is a preserve? what?  I just knew when I woke up this morning it was gonna be a fugged up day.......... :banghead:

The No Wake Zone / The Press release you'll never see..........
« on: June 01, 2011, 09:15:06 PM »
My Mommy sent me this!

WOULDN'T IT BE GREAT TO TURN ON THE TV AND HEAR ANY U.S.PRESIDENT, DEMOCRAT OR REPUBLICAN, GIVE THE FOLLOWING SPEECH?

My Fellow Americans:  As you all know, the defeat of the   Iraq regime has been completed.

Since Congress does not want to spend any more money on this war, our mission inAfghanistan is complete.

This morning I gave the order for a complete removal of all American forces from Afghanistan.  This action will be complete within 30 days.  It is now time to begin the reckoning.

Before me, I have two lists.  One list contains the names of countries which have stood by our side during the Afghan conflict..  This list is short.  The   United Kingdom,   Spain,   Bulgaria, Australia, and   Poland are some of the countries listed there.

The other list contains every one not on the first list.  Most of the world's nations are on that list.  My press secretary will be distributing copies of both lists later this evening.

Let me start by saying that effective immediately, foreign aid to those nations on List 2 ceases indefinitely. The money saved during the first year alone will pretty much pay for the costs of the Afghan war. THEN EVERY YEAR THEREAFTER IT'LL GO TO OUR SOCIAL SECURITY SYSTEM SO IT WONT GO BROKE IN 20 YEARS.

The American people are no longer going to pour money into third world "Hell Holes" and watch those government leaders grow fat on corruption.

Need help with a famine?  Wrestling with an epidemic?  Call   France.

In the future, together with Congress, I will work to redirect this money toward solving the vexing social  problems we still have at home.  On that note, a word to terrorist organizations.  Screw with us and we will hunt you down and eliminate you and all your friends from the face of the earth.

Thirsting for a gutsy country to terrorize?  Try Franceor maybe   China.

I am ordering the immediate severing of diplomatic relations with France, and   Russia.  Thanks for all your help, comrades.  We are retiring from NATO as well.

I have instructed the Mayor of New York Cityto begin towing the many UN diplomatic vehicles located in   Manhattan with more than two unpaid parking tickets to sites where those vehicles will be stripped, shredded, and crushed.  I don't care about whatever treaty pertains to this.  You creeps have tens of thousands of unpaid tickets. Pay those tickets tomorrow or watch your precious Benzes, Beamers, and limos be turned over to some of the finest chop shops in the world. I love   New York.

A special note to our neighbors:   Canada is on List 2.  Since we are likely to be seeing a lot more of each other, you folks might want to try not pissing us off for a change.

Mexico is also on List 2. Its president and his entire corrupt government really need an attitude adjustment.  I will have a couple thousand extra tanks and infantry divisions sitting around.  Guess where I am going to put 'em?  Yep, border security.

Oh, by the way, the United Statesis abrogating the NAFTA treaty - starting now.

We are tired of the one-way highway.  Immediately, we'll be drilling for oil in Alaska- which will take care of this country's oil needs for decades to come.  If you're an environmentalist who opposes this decision, I refer you to List 2 above:  pick a country and move there.

It is time for Americato focus on its own welfare and its own citizens. Some will accuse us of isolationism. I answer them by saying, "darn tootin!"

Nearly a century of trying to help folks live a decent life around the world has only earned us the undying enmity of just about everyone on the planet.  It is time to eliminate hunger in America.  It is time to eliminate homelessness in America. To the nations on List 1, a final thought.  Thank you guys.  We owe you and we won't forget.

To the nations on List 2, a final thought:  You might want to learn to speak Arabic.

God bless America.  Thank you and good night.

If you can read this in English, thank a soldier.

So for the past 3 weeks, I've had my slaves (Kids, their friends, anyone else dumb enough to come by, yeah I did a lot myself too) Grabbing sandpaper and wet sanding pickle down. This has been bugging me since I bought it. SO I FINALLY gave RJ the go ahead to hit it with the buffer and Meguire's Oxidation remover.......

Just getting started, but MAN what a difference! Once this is done...... twice (Told RJ It hadda be done or he wasn't allowed to go to his moms this summer...... >:D ) Then we touch up the deck gouges that were in it when I bought it, be a brand new Bass Boat!!

I'll get some pics after he gets done with round 2 and we hit it with some wax..........under the lights to see it well!

We all give thanks and deep appreciation to those that serve, and those that gave their lives serving us so that we may enjoy the freedoms we have today. Most of all, remember why they did it. My pops got his stone finally, and today would have also been my anniversary. Granted, my wife was not in the armed services, she served special needs children. A noble cause as well.

Hulls / Here's where I get easily confused.......
« on: May 23, 2011, 11:07:32 AM »
I thought we had ID'd my Pickle boat about a year ago, and close, but heres where the confusion comes in.

We Id'd it as a Sleekcraft Streaker. Since then, been on the beach with 2 others, both 1/4 stringer boats with floors, set up orginally with doghouses and TT exhaust. Mine is full stringer, no such provisions. Found this other one I'm working on obtaining from a guy (Got an MT trailer, why not?), but it has really peaked my curiosity.

From the a$$, look nearly identical........

But mine is obviously full stringer, and this one is NOT, and the freeboard looks a little different to me

Engine Mechanical / Electrical / Got wood? I DO!!!
« on: May 21, 2011, 02:09:05 PM »
So Harry hooked me up with this, and then brings it to me this morning (Thans bro!  ) Much better than the lil 6-71 I was gonna use, and much better condition than the 10-71 littlefield I have.

It's fresh from the Mooneyham shop, but I need to flip the bearing plates and gears front to rear (making the front plate upside down, obviously) to make this work as a rear driven deal.

Anyone have experience clearancing and timing a blower or do I just need to bite the bullet and have a pro do it?

I was talking with Nordie yesterday and we were discussing engines and what I'm doing with the "locust" plague of 460's I have laying around. I pulled three around, apart and on stands this past weekend trying to figure a pretty inexpensive way to put one good one together quickly for my "Yellow Submarine" that my Aunt wants to buy. First one? not so good, rod bearings completely shot (Supposedly a turnkey engine, go figure, but I only paid I think $250 for it.......blocks good, crank can work, heads great,.....but not my point).

Put the second one on the stand, pulled the cast iron intake, WOW! cam looks NEW, no signs of water leakage anywhere, pushrods clean, double valve springs, new valve seals........flip it over and pull off the high dollar Dooley oil pan..........looks good, save for one thing I'll post pics of in a minute. Pulled ALL the rod and main caps (Which I figured on only spot checking), and they are great! Rotating the thing over, piston skirts have no slap marks, minor abrasions, the bores still have the crosshatch on them........perfect for what I am trying to do here!

But there's this pump/pickup dealio.........can someone explain to me why the fock anyone would do this on a fresh build...........

Gotta tell ya. Being stuck back east with only broadcast TV......this SUX!

Apparently, because some spoiled brat (and balding like me but half my age) rich kid who lives off an unlimited tax subsidy in England found a hottie, the rest of the world has ceased creating problems or news......... :screwy: Focking news channels.......I knew nothing of all this hoopla about it. There wasn't this much crap when the whole Lady Diana thing happened, and my ex-wife was addicted to it at the time!

So, like the rest of you who are anxiously awaiting the snob wedding of the century, I find the time to look into this English "Royalty" wedding. GREAT.....another episode of someone getting out of a carriage that the only difference between them and the Horses that drew it is the white dress.......(Sorry, I never felt Diana was attractive, Fergie kinda, Camilla, REALLY, wiiiiiillllllllburrrrrrrr) .

So......I start watching........no choice......start getting a little excited.......is this Wench HOT or WHAT!?!?!?

I'm all into Princesses now............ :banghead:

I think she wants a ride in a Moo boat myself, tell me this isn't what everyone wants sunning on the deck of the boat?................. :sly:

And, not to be out done by Britney....but with taste..........

Rant over........kinda........ 8)

Guys, any of ya on the east coast, interested in any of my father's collection (and some of mine from years ago) might want to attend this. Trust me, some very cool $hit is going to be auctioned off.

I don't need it, my mom don't need it , and obviously, my pops is turning in his grave over us doing this,  :D

Goal is to get mom out of debt, and move out here and live with me (I have mixed feeling about this part, bit it is what it is........)  She needs to be more involved with her grandkids, so thats what this is all about.

Click on the images for a sneak peek. Yes, my '79 Volare Roadrunner with a '68 Roadrunner 383 magnum (took a LOT of work making the mounts on THAT K-member) is among the items going..........

WarZone / WTF is wrong with some parents?????
« on: March 26, 2011, 12:12:54 AM »
So here I am at the shop, quiet, jammin' Sammy, and the GF calls in absolute tears. She took her 12 year old daughter to  Albuquerque this weekend for a Karate Tournament (Her daughter is a Black Belt....been doing this since she could walk..... :o ) In between sobs I get the jist of the story, then had to talk to Olivia as her mom was a basket-case. Understand Olivia usually wins EVERY local tourney, and this is a Regional event from the southwest to go on to the Nationals. The little thing scares me.......... :sly:

I get the parents and the sporting thing and their little "cliques".........(not that we have any here........ >:D)....but when the parents of students IN HER OWN SCHOOL AND CLASS, walk over to the parents, coaches, and kids from other parts of the country that are to spar with Olivia and tell them to "go for her head" and "if she does this move, do this as her chin is exposed", how and when to leg sweep her........there were about a dozen other references, some designed to REALLY HURT the kid, basically..........I have cause for concern. I did not know how bad this was. Carol made reference to "not fitting the mold" with the other parents before, which is why she usually has a friend or relative go with her on these trips. Noone was available, I'm working or else I'd be in Parker right now anyway  :P

But really WTF? In the end, Olivia just did her thing, with a LOT more voracity, and broke one kids nose and dislocated anothers shoulder when they tried throwing illegal sparring moves on her. She came in third and advances to spar again tomorrow, but I'm quite sure this just compounded the issue.

Between us, and Carol doesn't need to know this guys, I'm proud of the kid for standing her ground and not taking that kinda crap, first. Second, I shoulda told her to then proceed to kick every parents ass that she knew had done these things if it happens again tomorrow! But as it is, Carol's worried about lawsuits and liability now. I told her just write down the names, what was said to whom, etc, the Sensei needs to be in the loop, or is involved. The kid just defended herself, and her pride. Nothing more.

Probably a good thing I'm not there as chances are pretty damn good I would be armed, and my little ass woulda at least showed some attitude and been politicing to the officials that the kids of these parents need be disqualified and banned from future Tourneys........But that's just me.........I'm sure the Sensei would never go for that because he would lose a LOT of tuition money,

Am I wrong? So what? She's better than your kid! Lots of kids are better at what my kids are good at, I don't try and get your kid killed over it! WTF is wrong with people?????

Rant Over......

WarZone / New Addition to the SCJB Family
« on: February 10, 2011, 10:09:35 PM »
Soooooo   I'm driving home from work. Been a bad week, picked up an unknown virus on the home PC's giving a fake "Blue Screen of Death" , forcing buying a new desktop until my Nerd can sort it all out (been on it two days...........) Anyway..........

Becca calls me, seems she and her girlfriends found a stray dog and want me to help. I wish I could post pics of the, well, probably 120 or so pound guy, but again, the computers.......They walked the 'hood, noone knows the dog or owner, I get home, take it to the vet to make sure MY dogs don't get rabies or some sort of strange viral canine syphillis or something from this thing, and to check it for a chip, and I, bringing the dog, Becca, her friend and a friends daughter staying with us right now, tell them, "there's no freaking way I'm keeping this thing, no matter what, got a house full of guests I'm helping out, another dog is OUT OF THE QUESTION!!!!!"

You know what happens next..........Becca cries, her friends cry..........I get home I'm so mad I can't see straight and damn near crying over THAT!

So, What the Vet tells me, no Chip, GREAT! I think!!!! Wonderful! FOCK!  Full Blooded Basset Hound, Cute as hell, I gotta admit,
and growing on me as we speak. 3 years old at the most, not neutered, and perfect as far as coloring and demeanor! I mean extremely friendly thing and the cutest howl ever!

So I bring him and the girls back home. Tell Becca to tie him to the Pickle Boat's trailer in the driveway until 10 when they go to bed. Then, both my dogs, and my house guests 4 dogs are in bed and then you can put him in the backyard til we can deal with it tomorrow.

Tears flow...............so to shorten this story, here I am, at 11 at night, everyone else asleep, gotta get up at 2:30, new laptop in hand with a strange, but adoreable Basset Hound sound asleep with the cutest snore at my feet in MY BED!!!!!! (Never allowed that even with Moo and Ruger)

I think I'm gonna name him "Rooster".............But don't tell the kids, I'm supposed to be the prick in this....................Focker needs a bath............or is it me?............. Maybe the original owner will come forth and save my ass............
