455 tend to make a lot of crank case pressure I would use moroso PT# 68788 lock in breathers and plumb into you headers for evac.
Hope this helps.

nice i never realized how wide they look from the front
The hull is the same width as the regular only the cockpit area is smaller and a much lighter lay up. Hull weight i am told is 300#

I let my GF drive the boat one time and one time only  :banghead: She it a bridge and just so happens the pillar she decided to hit had a piece of angel iron about 2 x 2 x 1/4 sticking out hit the bow at about the one o'clock mark sliced the boat for about 18 - 20 inches looked like some took a chain saw to it. Good thing see was only going about 5 MPH and I was in the boat. Once it hit she put it to the wood I reached over in a spilt second turned the key off to stop the madness and n the same motion softly removed her from the drivers seat started the boat and drove like a mad man back to the trailer. I got in a bit of trouble as I blew through a no wake zone but did not care to much I did not want the bow in the water. The water cops where cool about it once they saw why i did what i did. Needless to say she will not nor has she asked to drive the boat again.

One more tid bit of triva pertaning to this issue. A top fuel dragster will consume enough air in a single pass to fill the goodyear blimp.

You will need to drill and tap the bell housing to bolt it up. Or you can go outside the box and go ghetto and rig it another way but drill and tap is the neat clean way and Yes they are good to have.

First off stroker motors are not the greatest for high rpms if thats what you looking for. Great for power tho. I would run at aleast a 350 cc head with that app with a solid roller cam. shaft mount rockers are the way to go. no need for girdles and you can pick up 20 hp over roller rockers..

sturat Whats with the gear drive? I used to have one in my old nova. noisy pete jackson. couldnt hear a dam thing when under the hood lol. My friends could hear me coming a mile away. never seen one in a boat tho.
Nosiy Pete Jackson is what I have and that is excatly what I wanted (the not being able to hear). I want people to hear me coming around them as I pass by then they can hear the great symphony now as a big block v8

Don't start THAT again! I managed to do it inline, lol That's all I got to say about that! :screwy:

Like everyone else is saying AA will do it. I had a stock 460 with tunnel ram and 750 DBP and 4500 was all it would go.

I just bulit the same motor myself. It will go on the Dyno next week. I would say the heads would need to be worked over or seems to me that you will not allow the motor to breath well. BBF love lots of fuel and air. I am running two quick flow 750's (flowing 830) they should work perfect for this size motor. if you are going to run 600's IMO would stick with the holleys i have personaly not had good luck with edelbrock's i am sure some people have but i have not my .02 holley is the better choice. I am running a mild hyd roller cam with aluminum heads and a small shoot of nos. I am also running a A impeller with an inducer (thanks to JBP) You are buliding a 500+ Cubic inch motor and you need to be able to feed the beast that it will become. I will post back up next week and let you know the numbers it is able to pull.

I posted a new thread on THB and also asked the skagen guys if a date has been set. The clock is ticking to make this happen. I do not want to be the only THB guy to make the trip but if that is the case then looks like a lonely road trip for me.

I am one of the THB guys and I hope we can make this happen. Please let us know if you think this is really going to happen so we can make plans with work sitters and so one. I have two little ones and I do not think they are ready for this trip so I would have to leave them with the folks for the trip.

WTB / Progressive linkage for a dual four setup.
« on: March 16, 2009, 02:18:33 PM »
Hello
you guys helped me out last week with another issue and I am trying to pick your brains a little more. I am new to this site and thanks indance for the help. I am having a heck of a time locating a progressive linkage kit for side way mount 4150's?
I have also attached a few picures of my 79 sanger. The motor is out at this time as I pulled the running 460 to switch to a 514 stroker.

Thanks for the welcome..
So true about the money issue. I started off this winter with a mild upgrade to my 460. Al heads and a little bigger cam and now look new pump, dual four setup 514 stroker and still not done. Almost (for now). Wanted to gain about 15 over the 63 i was running before but I should now be 25+ over that.
