i got a friend that finds deals like this all the time hes getting tierd of that kinda shit to i feel for u man

totally sounds like base to body gasket just letting fuel flood in every time it dies ive seen it before i had a demon do it and a holly they were both the same dang thing drove me nuts till i found what was up :banghead:

me and a friend rebuilt his carb on his daycruzer had all the some semtoms we found that we had put the wrong gasket in the base because the right one didnt fit right that wrong gasket let the fuel bowls emty into the motor after it was off and while running it bypassed and flooded it made it run like shit

i used a good steel timeing set all brand new parts its an isky cam but when it walked back the edge of the rollers on the lifters kinda wore a line in a few off the lobes the lash was set at 17 and 19 thats what the cam card wanted idk ive had a few people alot smarter then trying to help as for the block it wore the flat part on the back off the timeing gear wore into the block and ate the cam bering groove in tthe block is about 16th to 1/8 deep i only ran the motor on the lake for a couple hours then noticed the shiney stuff in the oil if reparible would any machine shop be up for the task

if the boat is lean this this could happen ive seen one of my friends racecars melt through from being to lean but it also killed the motor we always run the motor full bore and shut it off without leting it idle and pull plugs look for coco brown thats ideal some guys like them a little whiter than that but u dont want white that could be fatele thats how i did mine theres probly a better or easyer way but i wouldnt know

its a big chev i guess a could put some kind of heat sheld on them that would probly work
